Sharp said they Giants have 2nd easiest schedule in NFL and that the Bill best team getting the ball into the end zone from the red zone. Likes Giants throwing the ball early on downs. Said Giants didn't do that last season.
Also said Jones most efficient deep passer in air last season.

Sharp did a number on Judge as a HC. Said he didn't throw on first or second down enough resulting in Giants facing long yardage on third down. That Giants worse team in NFL scoring from the red zone. Said Judge had team throw too many long passes in the red zone.

Listened to this he is on point this is the modern model of football Sharp is pretty Sharp hee hee hee hee It was a great analysis about the Giants as to where they were and where there going. When you think about the weakness of players and coaches no wonder they couldn't win. Your losing at both ends of the stick.

Sharp saying pass plays should be employed more on first and second downs is what HC Daboll has the Giants doing.
SF 49ers HC Bill Walsh years ago first modernized the passing game with short passes in early downs years ago.
Not mentioned by Sharp is the fact that both Daboll and Kafka have taken route designs to a new level. Their passing plays get receivers open space thus making it virtually impossible for defenses to defend against.
It's why Giants QBs Jones and Webb had such high completions rates in pre-season games. We'll see if that Carrie's over to the regular season.

I wonder, all other things being equal, if the NYGs picked Josh Allen instead of Barkley in 2018 would DG and company have ruined or stunted him?
Allen has developed into a top tier QB but that was with a lot very good guidance from the Bills FO and staff.

The raw talent was there of course, but the talent needs the right development. A good thought experiment for sure and I think it is why guys that are expected to be beasts coming out of college sometimes fall flat, it is about coaching staff and fit more often than not. In our case, Jones with Shurmur was a good pairing and he probably would have benefitted with him being around longer, but we would've had a better QB with a sorry overall team.

Either way if this new group can get the most out of Jones equating to being a franchise QB that will be a bigger feat or at least just as big as drafting their own. Franchise QBs are are far and away the most difficult thin to find/develop in any sport IMO.
