That tells me that the team is not feeling that sure about some of the other guys at WR.

It tells me that we couldn’t get a bag of oranges for Slayton. I get it though, no one in the wide receiver room is giving us any reason to feel good about the position.

The Giants know that Slayton will show up each week to play, while Kadaver and Golladay sit in street clothes with yet another “injury”. Right now Dabol is counting on Slayton and Wan Dale Robinson.

“ ….he can run like a deer, but he catches like one too.”
Been saying all off-season the lack of durability at WR makes Slayton a valuable asset. I question everything about KG at this point, but besides him Slayton is the only deep threat on the outside this team has. Cutting or trading him for nothing makes little sense.
Stats aside, I think Slayton can be a nice compliment to the KTs, Robinson’s, and Shep’s of the world while they work the middle of the field. His speed can stretch the defense and help open holes for them.

KG played in 14 of 17 games in his first season with the NYGs in 2021 Also had no issues all spring health wise. Slayton played in 13 and started 5. I get the attitude towards him but lets look at it with some proper perspective.

Looks like both Toney and Golladay will be ready to go this up-coming week.

He’s pretty useless as a decoy or a flyer right now. Looks like he’s getting a chance though. I hope he uses it. Still 8 days for KT and KG to strain a calf. I have no faith in those two.

Some seem to be forgetting that Jones and Slayton have a connection that seems to work.

Playing hurt didn't help him.
