I know fans here have been waiting for this so I will get an early start! A win is a win even with a lot of luck thrown in, so my hats off to our new Coach! He gambled going for two, and at this early stage of his coaching career, not only could it have cost us the game, but he would have taken a pounding from the NY know it all sports writers. Yes he has BALLS! Love it! Knowing that we are at the bottom of the barrel and crawling our way up, we really showed 100% effort and some really nice games by some of our players along with a lot of mistakes. Barkley in his walk year showing teams he still has something left in the tank! What can you type about Jones? Loaded with talent and little QB instants between the ears. Many times he still looks like a deer caught in the headlights after 3+ years. I'm going to watch a replay and if I see anything else, I will notify Game Time before he pulls the plug!

For the time being, Daboll shall be known as Daballs. Going hard on your QB1 for the stupid pick on the back foot also takes balls.
Love your uneducated takes. Keep'em coming.

Going for 2 was the right call, regardless if it worked or not.
Anyone trying to argue going for 1 was the right call didn’t watch that game.

Right call or not, he would have been dragged through the mud by the NY sports writers and Radio! They would have tried. Unlike the usual Giants media criticism, I think fans and other commentators would have pushed back on they opinion a tonne. Not arguing that they wouldn’t have brought it up, just saying it’s idiotic criticism.

" a lot of luck" nah....a break that Bullock missed the kick. Yes and true NFL break. But there was not " lots of luck" going on in this game. Jones will not be pulled for performance this season. The kid messed up big with the pick but he was also integral in the win and didnt cave. He was anything but a deer in the headlights. He was harassed all day and still only missed on 4 passes. I was actually surprised he was 17/21

Too many complaints about "luck". "Luck" in missing that late kick doesnt work if you are not within 1 point of the AFC number 1 seed last year. The Giants held an amazing runner to under 100 yards and kept it close. You cant win a close game with luck if you cant keep it close. They did and took advantage of opportunities when they needed to.

Hats off to the fellas and Wink for that one.

I have no idea who that punter is, but it seems like he has a good leg.
Barkley was extremely hungry, you could see it in his face all game. To all the people that said RBs are not worth it in today's NFL, he completely took this game over and was the only reason we won.
I love Sterling Shepard, he's been one of my favorite Giants players for years. He does whatever you ask, and sets nice blocks in the running game.
By the way, didn't it actually look like we had a scheme and a plan on offense? It's been years since I've seen that. We actually had open receivers!

82% completion% while under duress all game... doesn't scream "deer caught in the headlights" to me.
#1 receiver as a guy who came off injury 2 weeks ago...Fans are excited over Richie James...a WR who was essentially a nobody on another team.

Going for 2 was the right call, regardless if it worked or not. Anyone trying to argue going for 1 was the right call didn’t watch that game. Yup they had them on the ropes running it at will almost, when they loaded the box they sprinkled in some RPOs and some short and intermediate stuff for fist downs. That was a no brainer they were beating their brains in with the run Barkely had a ridiculous 115 yards after contact. It was the right call were jiust not used to it being the right call.

Titans had their hands on their hips says it also they gave up 238 yards top rush defense last year in the league, they have a hole to dig out of now.

I absolutely think going for 2 was the right call, whether they converted or not. Just the effect it had on the players and hearing their comments after including Saquon's comments below...
"We called it up and we were able to execute the play and get in. He's a man of his word. He told us he's going to be aggressive. He told us he's going to lean on the players to make plays. In that situation, he did exactly that. When you have a coach like that, it's definitely going to make you go out there and fight for him and execute in those situations
Yes, there is a lot to improve upon, but also keep in mind that was the #1 seed in the AFC last year with arguably the best RB in the NFL. They beat a really good team.
Stuff to build on moving forward

Going for 2 was the right call, regardless if it worked or not. Anyone trying to argue going for 1 was the right call didn’t watch that game. As I posted in Game Day; I would have never gone for 2 there.
I would never want to be that head coach that risks losing the game when I could have tied it and continue playing for the win.
Now if someone wants to argue the Titans had enough time to get in FG range to win it, they certainly can (and did), but had we not gotten the 2 pts. they would not have had to drive the field. They would have just tried to run out the clock with Henry.

If you have a chance to win, might as well try b/c you may not get another chance.

Yeah. My response was a little hyperbolic. Of course there’s an argument for going for 1. But to me the offence had a lot more momentum than the defence. In fact not using Henry on a few 3rd and medium situations really surprised me. We had limited him somewhat, but some of that was the Titans shooting themselves in the foot on 3rd down and prematurely killing their own drives with drops and weird play calls. I didn’t think in a tie game they’d run out the clock. I certainly didn’t have confidence in our defence to stop them before they got to the 40 yrd line if they were guaranteed OT if they weren’t successful. The dynamic of them NEEDING a field goal I liked a lot, because it meant using Henry less. I’m usually a pretty conservative guy when it comes to play calling, but in that situation I wasn’t surprised at all with the aggressive call.

I think that shows the different mindsets of the game. None of which are wrong as long as they work.
I think I was the only person in the Game Day to say no to going for 2.
And was no different back when Eli kept going deep on 3rd and short. In the beginning he often was successful but I thought it was playing against the odds and would bite us.
GT mentioned his nephew mentioned analytics said going for 2 was the play to make but in the end I don't think analytics ever factored into Daboll's decision. That's a gut call right there. He felt it, and I didn't and I'm glad to be wrong.

The silver lining is we’re not a team that “has” to win that game. If we end up losing because we don’t convert the 2 pts, I’m not pissed. We shouldn’t be in that game that late in the first place. My feeling and emotion around that call changes dramatically if it’s against the Eagles and the winner makes the playoffs. Yesterday, it was just a fun ride.
