The New York Giants defeated the Carolina Panthers, 19-16, at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon to extend their 2022 record to 2-0. They open a season with two consecutive wins for the first time since 2016. Here are some winners, losers and in-betweens from Sunday’s game. Winners Graham Gano: The former Panther nailed four field goals and and a PAT. His 56-yarder with 3:34 in the fourth quarter was the game-winner. He also had a 51-yarder earlier in the game. Julian Love: Another solid game by the Giants’ most versatile player. He led the Giants in tackles with seven, including two for a loss, a sack and a stop on special teams. Dexter Lawrence: He doesn’t always fill up the stat sheet but he fills up the middle of the field. Lawrence was pulled into extra duty with the injury to Leonard Williams. Lawrence had five total stops, a QB hit and a forced fumble. Daniel Jones: His stats weren’t that impressive (22/34 for 176 yards and a touchdown; 10 rushes, 21 yards) but he was chased from pillar to post and held it together. Didn’t lose the game, which is a good sign. In fact, he won it with his legs. Losers Kenny Golladay: The $72 million man was once again underutilized, to put it kindly. He only played a smattering of snaps and saw no targets in the passing game. Evan Neal: Neal was schooled several times by Panthers Pro Bowl outside linebacker Brian Burns. Kadarius Toney: Left the game with an injury — again — after catching two passes for zero yards. He did return but then added a drop. Cor’Dale Flott: Was beaten several times by D.J. Moore, once for a touchdown. Why Carolina didn’t exploit this mismatch further is a mystery. Others: Jamie Gillan Mixed reviews Saquon Barkley: It would have been too much to ask for him to have another monster week but he didn’t fare too badly with 88 yards from scrimmage. However, Barkley averaged just 3.4 yards per carry. Sterling Shepard: Caught six of 10 targets for 34 yards. Reliable, but lacked the big play this week. Offensive line: Allowed nine QB hits and didn’t fire for the running game. They need time and health to gain some cohesion. giantswire.usatoday.com/lists/new-york-giants-defeat-carolina-panthers-winners-losers-those-in-between-2/

I just hope our O line is much better than Cincy’s otherwise it’s going to be a bloodbath Monday night. If some thought the O line didn’t look good against the Panthers it might be about to get a lot worse. I hope I’m wrong but as some of you know, beating the cow****s is my Super Bowl every year and their defense was hitting on all cylinders, Burrow had something like a 48.6 rating and was sacked 6 times. He was pressured too many times to count.
Oh yeah, and that guy Parsons we could have had will be one more reminder of Gettlemans ignorance.

Flott also played very well at a times. That's why the didn't exploit it further. He was probably beat on that TD anyway but he also slipped and fell. First game and it wasn't going to be pretty.
Toney left with an injury ? A huge play negated by a semi-bogus call on Sills.
The O protecting the ball was huge

Nitpicking early season games is like wareing your shirt inside out. You can get away with it, but it makes you look like a clickbait idiot. Every team had issues in the first quarter of the season.

Nitpicking early season games is like wareing your shirt inside out. You can get away with it, but it makes you look like a clickbait idiot. Every team had issues in the first quarter of the season. Exactly...hard to complain about being 2-0 when most on here said this was a 4-13 team. Also...look at the Bengals, superbowl appearance to reality in one offseason...That team over achieved big time which is not a bad thing per say but can mask a lot of ugly that will come to light if ignored...Bengals fans were saying Giants were fools for getting rid of apple, saw on their board yesterday he is now referred to as "Rotten Apple" LOL...still holding like a mfer... What I'm getting at, is simply...There's more to being successful in the NFL than talent and matchups...Luck is a staple of success in professional sports, along with momentum. We're trending the right direction in both of those right now. Let's enjoy the ride for now.

They look worse than last year. Lol, yeah, it was nauseating watching what the cows did and Pittsburgh did to them the week before. They have 4 new starters on the O line, sounds eerily familiar, doesn’t it. Burrow also got to the Super Bowl handling all sorts of pressure last year, Jones led the league in turnovers when the line was that bad. I’m curious about Monday night, at least Cincy showed us what not to do (especially in the first half) but I just don’t think our O line is going to be able to handle these ****s. Boy I hope I’m wrong but my gut says otherwise. On the other hand, there have been a lot of upsets already and the line being Giants -3 seems too good to be true. Normally when I bet and I’m that confident (I would take the cows here to win straight up) I lose so that’s good for the Giants.

I know I’m a pessimist but when it comes to the cows, I’m on a whole nother level. Sadly, it used to be a tradition that my parents would come over for every Giants/cows game. 1) I stopped inviting them for their own good because I’m pacing and yelling the entire time 2) I think they wanted to stop coming because I am so miserable to be around during the game 3) my parents started inviting my wife over when they play each other so she could get away from me *there is one exception though and it’s for obvious reasons, I will try to keep my wrath under control but we’ll be watching the game together for Thanksgiving I will say lately I haven’t been “as bad” because the Giants have been so bad I could barely get my hopes up but it still hurts seeing the cows beat anyone, especially the Giants or a good team. **** this city, **** Jerry Jones, **** their entitled players and **** their entire fan base. I “almost” went to the old stadium they played at when they demolished it. They had a big watching party out there and I planned on showing up decked out in all my Giants gear. I was going to applaud, hoot and holler and make a sign but I pussed out because I really didn’t want to go to jail or lose my life that day. My hatred for everything associated with the cowboys knows no bounds.

Also the Dallas D front is good. Parsons is all that and then some. Next Monday night I may have to take an extra blood pressure med to keep my heart from exploding out of my chest if I get too pissed off!!

I'm hopeful they learn and straighten that up.. nerves, thinking too much instead of reacting, deer in the head lights for the first game, etc. Flott is also a 5th rounder projected to be a back up or ST player. As you said they will learn to clean that up or they will be just back ups.

He had trouble tackling in the preseason and it happened again yesterday..

People want instant gratification for every rookie these days Being 2-0 they are playing with house money and finding out they don't need to draft Safety for instance or a tackle Neal has shown enough to know he is gonna be a rock. they have the 2 hardest spots set now center and maybe Azuedo grows to Lemieux comes back and is fine. they need time together and growth from the rookies.

IMOF, I’ve even said several times that I knew he would take time as a rookie.
