Yesterday, I tried something on Twitter. I read exactly 100 tweets that came from either sports reporters or analysts (all checkmarked) before the MNF game. 97 of them were negative or critical of some athlete or team. I don't think that is an accident. These people are basically living vicariously through the struggles and failures of teams and athletes. **** them.

They were the kids that never got picked in sports. They use their platform to tear down athletes. Flip the script, and have players judge their articles. Make them know how your hard work and tireless effort can be forgotten by a sentence.
It’s why Derek Jeter started The Players Tribune.

If you reviewed the ones after the Mets game Sunday night they were all valid and deserved. 🤣. In all fairness it’s clickbait. Positive reporting simply doesn’t garner the same attention. Even in shows where they duel in opinion of positive vs negative it’s only popular because there is still the negativity of the 2 opines tearing each other down. I know it’s 2022 and all, but if you make more than a million dollars a year to play a game you can handle the scrutiny that comes with it.

Actually the negativity of local media to Mets loss yesterday was extremely defeatist. Someone had to win game and they had degrom starting the 2md game. Why not think let's go out and this win next win and get it to winner takes all game 3? And we'll take our chances ?
