Saw this post on Twitter of Tommy DeVito which says a lot about his confidence so I decided to watch some versus clips and this game against Michigan shows why we gave him a shot. You will have to fast forward through the Michigan offense snaps

He is terrible. Couldn't even win the Syracuse starting QB job. I watched every game of his in Orange. He is a worse pro candidate than Eric Dungey. Not even close to Ryan Nassib.

He's a UDFA with hopes of making a practice squad. Not sure anyone was expecting him to be good. But with some NFL coaching, he may develop enough to be a viable back-up. The Giants decided they wanted to bring him in, so they see something worthwhile there.

He honestly was not any good at Syracuse. For his sake, I hope that he improved. I saw his game against Michigan while he was the Illinois QB, and he wasn't any good. I love confidence in a player no doubt, but the play I've seen from him hasn't come close IMO.

If not, see ya later. 20K guaranteed in total is nothing.

Jim Brown (yes I know Floyd Little yada yada) was a LONG time ago. Nothing against the university, just the football program which is known for very little other than Ryan Nassib and Justin Pugh to Giants fans.

Take a look, see what's there, camp body and maybe he's just hitting his stride. Understand that he arrives with no college pedigree and a dream. I have a soft spot for, and appreciation for people with dreams. Go for it young man!

But yeah, they suck more than not.

Ditto on the fact that he was just terrible at SU. Lost the starting job there and that is really saying something if you're not good enough to play in Syracuse.

Even provided arguably the best player ever in Jim Brown. As an alum and a person that was born and raised in Syracuse, I'm not letting that shit slide 😄

He's actually there to throw at rookie mini camp. I just learned that this is why teams bring in random QB's

Point is, since then they have been the furthest thing from a football factory than any name school I can think of. Happy for everyone to get a shot but let's just keep it all in context. Hey, Cruz came out of Umass. The world is TD's oyster. Go get it kid!

Unfortunately, I remember all of those great RBs.

Nothing against Tommy but I wish Davis Webb came back on another minimal deal. I do not blame him for wanting a more certain job and paycheck though as a coach.
