Similar to the old AFL and old NFL merging. Should be good for golf.

Avoiding a costly war that would benefit no one. Smart move by both tours.

Pretty amazing based on the PGA comments over the past year. The commissioner said flat out that no player who left for liv would ever play on the PGA again.
And players are reportedly not happy too. And reportedly Greg Norman knew nothing about it and will not be involved going forward.
Will be interesting to see the fallout and how exactly it will work.

I'm kind of curious as to how it's going to work as well. I think the Saudis got just what they wanted.

Do the LIV golfers get to keep those big ass checks coming in that they signed up for?

What I like about many PGA/usga events is how underdogs can win. I hope this doesn't result in a kind of "major league/minor league" among PGA players. I've never watched Liv golf. Not that I hate it, I'm just old school and don't have time to watch both. And don't like shotgun starts and 3 round tournaments. Grind it for 4 days and deal with weather favoring morning or afternoon starts. I do like the shorts and the music. I bet it's a better product in person. But I don't think you can currently compare wins on Liv with wins on PGA. Another interesting thing they have to figure out.

No brainer from a dollar and cents standpoint, but honestly I'm not a fan of extending the Saudi presence into US sports.

Do the LIV golfers get to keep those big ass checks coming in that they signed up for? Yep pretty sure they do. I just laugh and think of the other golfers that turned down hundreds of millions of dollars when it ultimately resulted in the same thing regardless of their decision. Literally hundreds of millions of dollars left on the table for nothing.

One thing that bothers me with the PGA folks is their selective outrage regarding the Saudis. ..... All while being paid millions to wear Nike and other brands manufactured with slave labor in China.

PGA was in a weak position from the start. Saudis have more money than a handful of corporate sponsors. And then PGA was talking charity when tneir CEO is making $11,000,000/year. He's a waste. Imo koepka's performance in the years first 2 majors, forced the PGA's hand sooner than later.
