Parris Campbell has something to prove in speedy Giants offense
Parris Campbell is ready for a new beginning.
The Giants’ new wide receiver, who signed in March on a one-year deal worth a base of $3 million with an additional $3.7 million in bonuses, emerged in minicamp as an important option in a Daniel Jones-led offense.
Campbell, at 6-foot and 208 pounds, made a name for himself in Indianapolis as a speedy pass-catcher who flashed tantalizing skills but played just 15 games over his first three seasons.
In 2022, Campbell stayed healthy for the first time in his career, notching personal bests with 63 catches, 623 yards, and three touchdowns.
He also recorded the single fastest speed in the league as a ball carrier with a 26-yard rush in Week 18 when he reached 22.11 mph, per Next Gen Stats.

Cambell is a guy that is gonna shine if he can stay healthy he is a solid route runner he can take the top off a defense from the slot as well as take a 5 or 10 yard slant to the house his speed is undeniable high 4.2s low 4.3.
He will have a stable offensive system that will high light his best abilities also he will have a QB that is more steadier and better than what he had for his one healthy year last year in Indy, seems like a humble good dude I am rooting for him big time.
I have a feeling if he stays healthy he is gonna get paid and hopefully it's us who pays him one less draft worry.

We’re way past the point of a leash. Campbell is on an electric fence now. Try not using the word “if” when talking about him. It’s impossible.. The Giants know this it’s why he’s on a one year prove it deal. He coughs the wrong way, he’s gone. His ability is not in question. His availability is.

Slayton made a comment about his frame and that he has some Debo traits with the ball in his hands. Then in a minicamp report. Was said he worked with the RBs for some portion of practice.
Looks like some smoke there with Giants using him in that type of capacity somewhat.

The article said he played 15 games in 3 years. His speed we all know is Olympic sprinter speed. The potential is mouth watering. Just send him deep someone has to go with him and it should open more room underneath. The biggest question your right how many games can we count on him being part of. Dabs will make him work in our offense for the games he's available.

I think he is much better than Ross as a football player. The problem is, as most our players, his health. In 2022, Paris Campbell had more receptions (63) than John Ross has had in his 5 year career. This was one of the guys I wanted the Giants to target this offseason thinking he fits this offense like a glove. He appears to be on the up and up development wise. If he stays healthy, he could have a breakout year. He has the speed and the ability to be a very good receiver for us. I do think though, we are still missing that #1 WR on this team. We are going to go after teams with a million papercuts instead a a swing of the sword. Not saying there wont be homeruns, there should be, but we will be more like KC's offense than Miami's.

I don't disagree with any of this. Technically, Waller is the #1 receiver in this offense. Unfortunately, he's just as much of an injury concern, but if that works out it elevates all the WR's.

We are in that part of the off season where we get to dream big without any ramifications.

It's really easy to see why the Giants signed him after watching his film...he's basically a more talented Slayton...they have a VERY similar play-style but I think Parris has a bit more physicality and natural ball skills to his game

We are in that part of the off season where we get to dream big without any ramifications. So very true, but realistically, of all the players we picked up with injury history, what percentage do yo think will remain healthy for the season? 50% better or worse?

So you aren't a fan of Campbell because of injury history but you openly wanted OBJ back? The stats say Odell is 2x as likely to get hurt and miss game(s) due to injury... hmmm....no consistency there Parris: www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/parris-campbell/10209Odell: www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/odell-beckham-jr/6942

He’s the far superior player even with a bad wing. It took Campbell three years to finally see how the end of the season feels like. Both players come with a buyer’s beware. Beckham got a cool $15 mill while Campbell settled for $4.7 million. Putting a percentage on a player getting injured is a waste of time. You might as well analyze a fart..

Putting a percentage on a player getting injured is a waste of time. I would think that injury history is something you have to take into consideration, because you want to spend wisely. It may not be the main consideration, but certainly needs to be acknowledged.

You might as well analyze a fart.. I agree and likewise with analyzing a player's past injuries as if it's an indicator of future injuries...specifically when one player in question (campbell) just played a full season and improved, while the other missed a whole season and has proven to digress in ability (beckham) Raven's got hosed. Campbell will have more yards and TDs this year, book it.

And ripping out the pages of the record books. Before being cut down once again, he was still giving opposing teams fits. Two ACL injuries to the same knee in a year and four month span would knock the toughest players out for the count. With a season to rehabilitate and the hunger to feed the doubters to the earth. He will be ready to let it rip in Baltimore.

I am so glad he never made it back to the NYGs roster. His talent is undeniable but the rest of him is not worth it.
