I'm noticing a lack of Cowboys' players on y'all's lists.  Surprised though nobody mentioned Roger Staubach after he did the honorable thing and volunteered to go to Viet Nam (albeit not assigned to a forward area). High moral character, leader of men, and a great player. Didn't become an NFL rookie until he was 27. I'll add another player due ultimate respect in Pat Tillman. And not a player but always had the ultimate respect and pulled for Joe Gibbs, Redskins coach. Character ! Mostly I don't like other team's players, any other team's. But I enjoyed watching Ronnie Lott, Joe Montana, Barry Sanders, LT and Mike Singletary. Eric Dickerson was very cool to watch too and a Texas guy from Sealy, Texas. |

Have to go with Micah Parsons.. I don’t care what jersey he rocks.. or the pathetic trade we made to let him out of our grips. He has dethroned Aaron Donald as the baddest mother ****** defender on the planet. Next I’ll go with Marvin Jones.. former linebacker with the Jets. He was an animal at Florida State.. He put together a college career that can go toe to toe with any inside linebacker ever. Now we go with the head hunter.. Chuck Cecil. Got the famous sports illustrated cover as “too vicious for the NFL?” His style of hitting not only knocked players out.. but also got spearing banned from the league.
An Eagle makes this list, Hugh Douglas. Saw him play in pissant Central State. Like John Mobley never judge a book by its cover. Hugh could play with anyone. Was one of the few faces of those tough, Jim Johnson defenses. And last and certainly not least.. Kevin Greene. The blonde bombshell from hell. No matter what city he played in, you knew he was ready for war. Never got the true recognition as one of the best pass rushers in league history. The numbers are insane. A decade of ten or more sacks. That’s in Reggie Whites territory.
