Part of the Big Three that made the 70's Cowboys the best franchise in the NFL over that decade. They're all gone now. It was Clint Murchinson Jr, 1st Cowboy owner, who put the Brandt, Schramm, Landry team together. Brandt was the personnel guy as mentioned by the OP.
Was a baby photographer in LA in the late 1950's after dropping out of the Univ of Wisconsin where he met Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch who talked him into becoming a part time scout for the Rams. LA is where he met Tex Schramm who was the GM for the Rams. The rest is history. Great story of a man who accomplished much in his time on this rock !
