Just traded both of their stud edge rushers. Where’s the logic in that? Maybe they’re trying to collect draft capitol to jump ahead of us for a QB?

I think you’re correct they now want skin in the game for the Drake Maye/Caleb Williams because at 3-5 their season wasn’t exactly over, but without their 2 best pass rushers they’re sinking Ron’s Riverboat.
They got a decent return on Montez Sweat but the return they got on Chase was awful. Better than nothing I suppose.

I agree he hasn’t lived up to his pre-draft expectations, he had a decent rookie season, he was pretty underwhelming in 2021 before getting injured and his best game since was last week against us, but I think they could have gotten at least a 2nd round pick for him. Also the Commanders aren’t a great franchise to play for lol. He grew up 15 minutes from FedEx Field, I would imagine he was disappointed to be headed back home when they drafted him. It’s no secret in the DMV that Dan Snyder ran a clown show. Maybe playing in the SF defense for the rest of this season will help him land elsewhere in free agency, we’ll see.

Lost cause.. He found his way to a defensive rookie of the year award. And before he could polish his trophy he suffered a torn ACL and patellar tendon rupture. His career hung by the very tendon that was shredded.. He was knocked out damn near thirteen months.. Career suicide for most.. Extra motivation for others.. He will fit like a glove on that vaunted 49ers defense. No longer will he have to live up to the second overall pick. He can just ball and let it rip.

There have been lots of guys who had solid rookie seasons, Ojulari had 8 sacks in 13 starts, how much would we get for him? 4 years is a long time to recover. Whether it's the knee or franchise, Young hasn't been much of a factor. You're worth what they'll give for you.

Whether it's the knee or franchise, Young hasn't been much of a factor. You're worth what they'll give for you. Chase Young has actually been quietly making a great season for himself, he has 5 sacks and a 25% pass rush win rate after week 8. His injury was unfortunate but he’s shown he’s on the rise again. In He’s gonna look good in SF’s defense. They got more for Montez Sweat who this season has the lowest pass rush win rate on the team (8%) and only 1 more sack than Chase. He’s also never had a double digit sack season, but he has had reliability on his side. If we’re comparing their entire careers from draft until now, I would say Sweat’s had the better career but he’s reached his ceiling. Chase’s comeback this year has been impressive and it looks like he hasn’t reached his. As for Ojulari, he’s worth a 3rd at best but more likely a 4th or 5th, but we also didn’t draft him 2nd overall. Despite his injuries he actually produces when he plays, unfortunately I don’t think him in Wink’s system is a good fit which is why he can’t stay healthy. They’re using him like Kayvon & he’s not built for that, he’s a pure pass rusher. He was great in Graham’s system and could potentially be great in Wink’s but if he can’t stay healthy

I'm not arguing the possibility of come back for Young, you may be right. I'm only talking about his current trade value.

I’m ok with Washington getting shafted, must be embarrassing a 2nd overall pick was sold for a third round comp pick. I know if we traded our former 2nd overall pick we wouldn’t do much better than a 3rd or 4th round pick but that’s also the going rate for a running back. A good DE should be going for more than a 3rd round comp pick. Von Miller was traded to the Rams in 2021 for a 2nd & 3rd rounder, he wasn’t the same dude he was in his earlier years, it was a year after coming off a torn Achilles and a few other injuries at that point.

Commanders are in tank mode, so that means when we play them again we should be able to beat them, right? nope lol, not sure i want to either lol right not it doesn't really matter i just want to see us play competitive I think we beat them again, their front 4 of Sweat/Payne/Allen/Young was the only good part of their defense. They were the lone reason they were competitive in most games this season, also the reason our offense didn't do anything in the 2nd half 2 weeks ago. With Danny expected to return this week, hopefully Andrew Thomas and Evan Neal also return, mix in Pugh, Bredeson and Glowinski we should have our best OL configuration and depth all season available moving forward. Looking at the schedule now: -Week 9 @ Raiders: no excuse to lose to a team that just fired their HC & GM -Week 10 @ Dallas: probably a loss but would be nice to pull off the upset -Week 11 @ Washington: their defense now officially bad, should win it again. -Week 12 vs. Patriots: winnable game -Week 14 vs. Green Bay: winnable game -Week 15 @ Saints: winnable game -Week 16 @ Eagles: Probably a loss but like Dallas would be nice to pull off the upset. Their next 5 games is a brutal stretch, catching them out of sync is a possibility. -Week 17 vs. Rams: winnable game -Week 18 vs. Eagles: If they don't falter weeks 9-15 they may have homefield locked up and rest their guys. Winnable game Since the Giants weren't going on a selling frenzy before the deadline, I think this team is going all in on their final 9 games, best case scenario they clinch the 7th seed but at the very least end the season on a high note. Mara & Tisch are desperate to winning and would be happy if we finish with 7-10/8-9/9-8 than if we finished 3-14/4-13/5-12/6-11. Our final 9 games are winnable, hopefully they don't pack it in. Am I full of hopium? absolutely but it's a better alternative to doom & glooming through the final 10 weeks.

You can't make this S##t up.
