It was inevitable but at the very least I thought Mark Davis was going to wait until the end of the season LOL
This is now the 2nd consecutive matchup the Giants have faced the Raiders with an interim head coach. This time it’s Giants legend Antonio Pierce!

McDaniels sucks. Rivera will likely be next in DC, speaking of duds

Had just enough physical tools to stay in the league but was cerebral and a leader on a great Giants D. Jumping from LB coach to interim head coach. Hell yeah

The NFL is a paradox as it pertains to staff. It is a win now league. But the revolving door of staff is proven failed model.

Hell yeah My Favorite AP play is when he committed an off-sides penalty. He saw that the defense was lined up wrong and the team was about to get beat. He ran up to the line and lightly pushed an OL to commit the penalty, Gave them 5 yards but saved the team form getting beat deep. Real heads up play.

Me I think a HC and GM should have 5 years. it is at that point if they can't win or build a good team. Then make a move. It is historic in sports in general, Owners that lack patience become the main reason for perpetual losing. This is their mind set. We haven't won in Blah Blah years. "I have to do something" So they keep doing the same thing over and over without the intended results. It is nothing more than an illogical appeasement process to quiet the critics. More of a "I hope so this time will get it correct" than statistical probability.

At least fire Boone, I never understood the logic behind not renewing Girardi's contract to replace him with Boone. The Yanks weren't winning World Series but at least Girardi cared and they were making the post season....

McDaniels signed a six year contract, so he has four in a half years left. Raiders are obligated to pay.

McDaniels getting fired shortly into his Raiders career was the most predictable thing ever.
Not hiring a guy that led the team to the playoffs in the midst of Gruden and Henry Ruggs murdering someone is an all-time weird decision.

Generally speaking, I do agree that an endless cyle of 1.5 to 2 year hiring and firings is not good for any franchise. McDaniels was a bad hire from the jump and it made no sense.

IMO IDK a year and a half is not a good sample size. The team was on the slide when Gruden and Mayock were sent packing. If you look at it. Daboll only has 2 more career wins with the Giants than McDaniel's had with the Raiders. I would not want to see Dabbs get fired.

Seems silly to me

McDaniels proved he sucked with the Broncos though and proved he's a shitty person when he backed away from the Colts job after accepting it.
