Im not calling the Giants owners or decision makers racist but it appears they prefer a certain type of quarterback or face of the franchise. Which is a clean shaven no-nonsense white collar type. Picture Eli Manning, Daniel Jones, Phil Simms. There is a reason why the Giants are called the "accounting firm of the NFL" .. in 100 years the Giants have never drafted a black QB. In fact the Giants were the last team to start a black QB (Geno Smith in 2018)
I have seen plenty of comments of fans here credit Daniel Jones for his good work ethic while making comments against someone like Geno Smith for not being a hard worker. I think this is something that needs to be talked about, whenever I bring it up in the Giants forum people call me out.The people who refuse to talk about race are usually the ones who are racist.
For the record while im highlighting the race of the Qb, I think the Giants would even refuse to draft any outspoken or colorful personality. I will believe it when I see it.

They actually drafted Andre Woodson. Otherwise, I think you do make a few good points. It is possible that they want certain types of players or coaches as their face of the franchise. The fans and media themselves have a record of "running players out of town" who have swagger or are outspoken. I will always be a fan of the NYG despite my disagreements with the way that they conduct business in several areas.

I'm unaware of the nickname the "accounting firm of the NFL" and couldn't find any reference whatsoever on Bing, got a link for that?
Regarding your second paragraph, specifically which more talented black or otherwise outspoken, colorful QB did the Giants pass over when picking Simms, Manning or Jones? Granted the Giants GM - only the third black GM In NFL history - did mistakenly draft the outspoken, colorful (and black!) Beckham over Donald in 2014. Also, the Giants started a black QB on October 15, 2023, not 2018.
My guess is that most people don't entertain the conversation with you because it's insipid. When you have to attempt to create drama by making up stories about Smith and Jones with vague references to "work ethic", it's a very easy artifice to ignore. My sense is you may get more folks engaged on the subject if it were presented in a more honest way. Calling those that ignore what looks more like virtue signaling than an honest conversation, likely racists, isn't going to get any one to take the subject seriously from you. It comes off like some weak ass woke bullshit that most folks dismiss as the nonsense it is. There are conversations about race in the off topic forums (they don't belong on the football forum) and no one has cried yet so that argument just doesn't hold much water.
I too have disagreements with the way the Giants conduct business in several areas, the owners involvement, the old boy way of doing things...but I also continue to support the team overall. There ain't no perfect organizations.
