100 rec for 884 yards and 3tds is cool, but he hasn't been that dynamic matchup nightmare expected due to his speed. If he had 60-70 recs but for like 11-1200 yards, 8tds etc. Because he was dusting ppl. Then that would move me to feel a way about his success with another team. Still not sure if he improved his blocking or not either. Lawrence was also suppose to be a generational QB. Peyton Manning type of talent coming into the league. Can't say that Engram has helped unlock that. They are solid though and can still reach higher levels. It's interesting because he has by far his best season with an 80% catch rate. But his yards per target is literally the same as his career average of 6.8 www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EngrEv00.htmThat says to me the offensive scheme isn't pushing him downfield much.

You must be a kid. No adult would obsess so much about any single player. You literally treat this forum as a message board. As in, one message. Well done. You're responding to every post of his.... giving them life. Maybe you can try going 5 posts of his without responding to them or giving them attention. I’ll give it a shot.

Guy hits the century mark in receptions and fans still hold him to Bavaro like standards.. He was plagued with being on a team that was just hitting its peak with eternal darkness. As Beckham was turning into a lightning rod.. Engram was the red headed step child no one liked. Every drop was magnified.. his blocking laughed at.. And his draft slot a constant reminder of Jerry’s Reese's going to pieces. He was always a square peg being forced in a round hole. Now with new threads.. and the beach as his backyard. He has put together back to back years of solid play.

It's amazing what good QB play can do for a receiver/TE. Case in point, EE has 104 rec for the year, he's just the 8th TE in NFL history to go over that 100 rec mark. But the DJ panty sniffers will say he sucked here, and DJ never had weapons.LOL Happy for Engram, always liked him. But also more credit to him than QB. Lawrence has not played well. I'd hope that's not the bar for "good QB play." Overall, especially relative to draft position and "best prospect since Luck" Lawrence has been a disappointment. Engram just seems like a talented guy who needed a change of scenery. He was good while he was here and he is still good. The change of scenery and offensive scheme helped obviously but he was always a hard worker and good downfield blocker while with the Giants. He's not a player that changes a team's fortunes so when his deal expired someone paid him more than his value was here. Sure, that's far less dramatic than most takes but it is what it is.

And you would think with his speed, even if he was getting mostly short area catches. He would be able to turn that into bigger gains.
