Has decided to enter the draft before they won and his coach was not doing interviews with NFL teams he thought he would stay guess he changed his mind.
Maybe good for the Giants if they like his skill set and Daboll thinks he can turn him into something.
Think he is a mid first to top of 2nd.

Have to guess heβs going in Round 1 b/c this is a 17 game schedule and you control him at a modest cap number for 5 years.
Too many QBs get injured not to take him in Round 1 is my thinking.
Not sure who will take him.

Nah he's a top 15 pick, certainly There will not be a top 6 QB there when Giants pick in round 2

Nice! Havenβt watched him much at all yet but the more QBs the merrier in my opinion.

He has a weird and slow throwing motion/delivery.

His highlights are fun to watch. Looks to have a cannon and has the ability to move. I look forward to watching his games in the coming weeks.

My concern is that Mich never put the game in his hands.

I haven't watched much Michigan games, but I wasnt impressed with his play against Washington in the championship game.
That said, he's a tall brunette, which is good enough for Mara to draft him in the top 10!

personally, not a big fan. I'd go with Nix or Penix (even with the injuries) over JJ for the 2nd tier guys

He's raw in the fact that his ceiling is unknown. He is a gifted leader and has this ability to get his teammates to buy in. He's not plug n play but has an unknown upside. I have a feeling he's going to be an "it factor" guy. He's a converted hockey player if he beefs up could be something special.

yeah not too crazy about JJ maybe you take him with one of those 2nd Round Picks if still available
I LOVE his teammate Blake Corum though, kid is a beast of a RB that does it ALL

I like JJ. He seems to be a good leader and kid that can win in the right situation. Accurate, good enough arm strength, athletic, can throw accurately while scrambling, and doesn't put the ball in risky situations.
He might not be able to do the Mahomes, and Josh Allen pull off some magic, but doesn't mean he can't be successful in the NFL.

The biggest delta being arm strength. JJ has an absolute cannon and the accuracy to go with it. Jones has a middling arm, at best

Just watched the Michigan vs. OSU game from 2022 and actually liked what I saw from McCarthy. It wasn't spectacular, but he looks to have a good frame, he looked very composed, he moved well in and outside the pocket, he threw a couple 50+ yarders with ease, etc. He seems to have the tools, and he doesn't play in a spread, run-and-gun offense like so many other QB's coming out of college. That's always a big plus for me.
Also, I just checked and apparently the kid turns 20 later this month. That means he was 18 in that OSU game. At that age, and with those tools, I assume he's just starting to scratch the surface.

Being so young he can definitely fill out and become a force. He's tremendously confident and lifts others around him.

I disagree about DJ with one part in particular. DJ has great straight line speed, but not much wiggle at all. I feel like this also relates to his inability to throw the ball without a solid platform. If you look at Jordan Love yesterday, played a great game out of the pocket, but was constantly having to make throws without a solid base underneath him. DJ is also having to take that extra second to get his base right before throwing the ball. It helps his accuracy, but I think it screws up a lot of our off schedule chances.

That off schedule stuff cant be taught. As long as it doesnt result in turnovers its a real difference maker. I was super impressed with Loves throws of his back foot.

I think he could go as high as mid 1st maybe as low as the top of the second only because QBs get pushed up boards 2nd round is really perfect for him

If they draft this kid it would be best for him to sit and develop for a year.

I was not seeing it but once I found out he was a young prospect that changed for me he is still developing as far as his body goes this could be a good pick for us he wilhave time to sit back and see it from the side line even for the whole first year or most of it anyway.
