sounds like what everyone was saying about DJ. The biggest delta being arm strength. JJ has an absolute cannon and the accuracy to go with it. Jones has a middling arm, at best Once he's drafted he is the kind of kid that will work his craft relentlessly his arm can be refined some through work with a good QB coach because of his tools but more so his work ethic think he is gonna be a good one. I have done a complete 360 on him after finding out how young he is he can sit for most of his first year and soak it up being DJs gonna be here let this kid see it first.

Has decided to enter the draft before they won and his coach was not doing interviews with NFL teams he thought he would stay guess he changed his mind. Maybe good for the Giants if they like his skill set and Daboll thinks he can turn him into something. Think he is a mid first to top of 2nd. Nah he's a top 15 pick, certainly There will not be a top 6 QB there when Giants pick in round 2 If big If they believe in him they shouldn't wait or trade down because you never know who might get him 6 is very rich for him but they might not have another chance if they try to get him later.

Yeah QBs due to positional value always gets pushed. If teams (Giants + Raiders) have given him first round grades he will go top 10, almost certainly.

That off schedule stuff cant be taught. As long as it doesnt result in turnovers its a real difference maker. I was super impressed with Loves throws of his back foot. If they draft this kid it would be best for him to sit and develop for a year. In 2018, I though the same thing about Josh Allen. Had we picked him, he would have been in a position to do just that. I have not been impressed by JJM, but only watched a few games, so am certainly not an expert. If he ends up being our pick, I'll get behind it like all of them, and hope that he does develop into a star. He is 3 or 4 years younger then any of the QBs that I like a bit further down, so he does have the time to do so. Given that they will be 25 next year a guy like Nix or Penix has to come in and play immediately.

I don't love how they used him then again lookout CJ Stroud not saying McCarthy can be that player but he was used in a similar fashion thats why he dropped a bit. They never put the ball in JJs hands that alarming that said I have to trust Schoen and Daboll know what a QB prospect looks like Josh Allen was an athlete with a howitzer attached to him he was not close to an NFL QB when they drafted him. I believe if you put a QB with the right mind set and excellent NFL traits into a good situation from a coaching standpoint there is a good chance that kid will flourish, it is tailoring the system to the player and laying the ground work to getting the technique and Flaws in there game fixed, this type of QB needs to be willing to work relentlessly with the best QB coach they can find 24 -7 in the offseason both parties win the QB is gonna sign a mega deal in the future and the team will win lot of games.

It is an unfortunate part of needing a QB and for the players themselves as far as success goes they get pushed and in todays game pushed onto the field before they are ready to me he is a 20 to top of the 2nd type player. By the time the process is over I don't doubt that he will be a top 10 maybe a top 15 if teams pick him apart he needs some development and refining.

I really like this fit for NYG. We have the right tutors in place for a raw QB with great potential. Being so young he can definitely fill out and become a force. He's tremendously confident and lifts others around him. I was not seeing it but once I found out he was a young prospect that changed for me he is still developing as far as his body goes this could be a good pick for us he wilhave time to sit back and see it from the side line even for the whole first year or most of it anyway. Hes their kind of guy(Schoen/Daboll).

Think so kind of like Allen not in stature but has the traits probably needs less refining than Allen did jus because of the level of play and the head coach he had.

I'm having trouble finding full game replays of Michigan, but from what I've seen I'm liking this kid more and more. He checks every box in my opinion and his development seems to be on a complete upswing. He just looks like a NFL QB to me.
At this point, McCarthy is probably my QB3 and I don't think the gap between him, Daniels, and Williams is wide. Considering the personality concerns with Williams and the weight/injury concerns with Daniels, McCarthy may ultimately be the best fit for what we need. Something else to consider is the fact he played outdoors in Michigan so he's used to playing in the cold. That can't be said for the other QB's.
Here's a quick film review I watched earlier this morning. It's against ECU, so take it with a grain of salt:

Rd1 - McCarthy (QB - Mich) Rd2a - Legette (WR - SC) Rd3 - Irving Jr (RB - Oregon)
Offensively, our future would look pretty bright with those three players on the roster.

The young thing is almost a dissuasion for me.. The benefit of a qb on a rookie deal is that you’re getting impact at low cost, and all of those years are so valuable

We can also use that Rd2b pick on the OL.
In terms of weapons though, I'd be thrilled with those guys.

Giants have two number two draft picks. Need a O-lineman in second round, going with Piddy"s mock draft.
