What would be so bad if we can't draft a top QB of drafting Maryland's QB Taulia or Notre Dame's QB?

We’ll first off the Notre Dame QB was unimpressive at the combine and second he was unimpressive at Notre Dame. He should focus on hair commercials.
Taulia doesn’t like pressure - forces the ball and makes poor decisions. Michigan verified that last fall.
If he has time to throw and things are fine and dandy in the pocket he’s pretty good.
The QB from South Alabama is a sleeper if you want a sleeper. Carter Bradley - in 2 seasons threw for just under 6,000 yards - 47 touchdowns 19 picks.
65% completion percentage. I have not seen him even though I live in Alabama however I hear he has got NFL talent from Alabama and Auburn sources.
🤷♂️ FWIW

If Jones doesn't work out we are rolling with Lock. If that doesn't work we are in prime position to draft Manning in a few years.

I’m not afraid of that. A team with as many holes as we have will DEFINITELY go into 24’ with holes unfilled. Which ones can you fill? It won’t be all of them.
And even if we draft a rookie QB in the first, 66% of the time those QBs don’t play well enough for fans to feel like they’ve found their guy.
Other positions just have a lower bar to deem a pick as “good”.
Not to mention there’s plenty of years where there’s 1 good QB available after evaluating the draft a few years later. The year DJ was drafted, unless you had the #1 pick overall, you drafted a backup. So what should a team do that needed a QB but didn’t have the 1st overall pick? Draft one anyway? Don’t draft one and try to justify why? Do you keep your job while waiting to prove your decision was right?
The QB position is unique in more ways than 4.

explain this obsession with Taulia Tagovailoa who is considered a Day 3 maybe even Undrafted Free Agent who didn't get a Combine Invite? Wish him luck though, maybe he ends up being the next Brock Purdy
as for Sam Hartman...HELL NO! he was a much better QB at Wake Forest but nothing but inconsistency at Notre Dame

He could be better than anyone in his family or a complete bum.

Um, they are both terrible Yes but one is definitley healthy and doesn't need a insurance policy if he plays. The other one might or might not be healthy and will be owed more money if he can't stay healthy. The business decision is easy the moral decision might be muddy depending on your faith in Jones' ability. We had no money to get better QB outside of Russel signing here and I am using better in the broadest way here. I really believe the best business play is to get a QB via draft and reset the QB salaries on our roster.

He was 3rd string last year...and when the #2 announced his intention to transfer (before the CFP), Texas boosters got together and gave Ewers a big NIL deal, to stay. Rumors are he's a great kid but unimpressive in practices.

personally if we go after a day 3 lower tier QB, I'd prefer Milton or Rattler over either of those 2.

Maybe just maybe, Schoen is trying to sucker teams into thinking he wants a QB with 6th pick in order to get teams who do want a QB to offer him a ton in draft picks so the Giants can move down. But is that smart?

We could get another defensive end at 6 or offensive linemen or wide receiver if McCarthy is there at 6 I'm taking him it's not a reach he is really good! I like Lock!

I'm a Maryland fan saw all his games I know he is as good as his brother he'd be a day 2 or 3 steal! Wait, you went to Maryland?! I lived there yes Olney Maryland and Frederick Maryland I grew up there sadly I'm not smart enough to go to college I'm good at Science and History and I'm really interested in quantum physics and I'm really good at jeopardy but I'm bad at Math and English I have learning disabilities despite being really smart and intellectual. Two of my sisters went there my sister Karen is a genius was studying to be a doctor but got pregnant and dropped out to become a house wife and mother to two beautiful daughters and and awesome son! she is now at 46 going back to school. My sister Tracey graduated from Maryland she is now a teacher! My family is a family of geniuses smart enough to go to Harvard but not enough money. My dad was thinking of going to Fordham University but ended up going to Wagner College graduating with honors! My dad is the smartest man I know!
