He won 2 games and got injured but threw enough deep balls to keep people excited I guess. Classic Tyrod season. Not saying Tyrod was bad but I remember listening to a Giants podcast before the season when a caller questioned Tyrod's skill and Paul Dottino went ballistic saying Tyrod was the best backup in the NFL and got mad at the caller. I get what the caller was saying...I thought Paul was out of line. Very elusive with a good deep ball but erratic outside of that...didn't have the accuracy on short and medium, "IT factor", and clutch. People talk about the tablet flip when Jones missed Waller vs Seattle but the Daboll ran on the field to chase after Tyrod and get in his face after abysmal game management at the end of the 1st half which was a lot more aggressive. That game came down to the final play...so you can say the game/lock management lost us the game. We won those tight ones the year before. I think we all know Tyrod sucks. If your saying DJ is better than Tyrod he should be but we really don't know 5 years into it. Taylor is going on year 14th in a sport where they chew you up and spit you out all over the pavement.. And that’s with not having the benefit of being a high draft pick. The only way Jones sees fourteen is he starts counting..

I also thought TT was the most effective QB last year. Maybe he was too old or too expensive or he didn't want to come back. I think he has the opportunity to make up to 20M over 2 years on the deal he signed with incentives. We weren't going to get anywhere near that for him. Paying Lock 1/2 that for one year... And all Taylor did was get hurt last year, his entire career. His completely unreliable in any longterm capacity, which we need.

that he doesn't suck and is IMO just as effective as Jones They both suck and I can't wait until the Jones contract is off the books. Has Taylor ever had a double digit win season? I know he played in one playoff game and if he could complete some simple out passes they would've won.

I'm sure we will find if this coaching staff can improve him unless they select a rookie in the 1st round then he hopefully doesn't see the field.

Quite a gig and have wonder, besides the money, is it worth it anymore.
