Forgot the site, and I’m still mulling it over in my head. But…interesting.
Giants trade number 6 pick to Cincy who use it to pick Odunze
Giants get Tee Higgins, number 18 pick (who the use on JC Latham) and Cincy’s 2025 2nd rd pick.
Bengals replace Higgins (who wants out) with a potential star rookie to match with Chase.
Giants get their WR1, the tackle they need (bumping Neal over to RG, and draft capital for next year.
Higgins is worlds better than Golden Tate, so I don’t compare this situation to that at all. He’d be the WR1 he wants to be. Don’t know if they can sign him to a contract though.
Thoughts?

Higgins average 50 yards receiving a game last year.
When has he been a WR1?

He will cost way to much to extend, I'd pass on that one.

I like the idea of trading backwards to get Penix later in the first. Unfortunatly, I do think we need to draft a QB.

Nope. No way that’s a better setup.

He was out 5 games last year and still put up solid (not great) numbers in the 12 he played. He has caught for over 1,000 yds 2x in his 4 years. Put him as the WR1 and he may very well be able to shine. His contract in the future is the issue for me.

If they didnt just sign him to a 21.8 mil deal for 1 year, Id be more open to the idea of trading our 6 for Higgins, 18, and their 2nd rounder. I think Higgins would be an asset for us, not at 21mil, but if money wasn't in the picture. At this point, I think id rather take a chance on Nabers or Odunze over paying Tee 21.8million

What I am wondering is what it would take for us to do a trade with Minny.
Would you guys trade our 6th overall for Minnys 11th, 26th overall, and 129th overall picks?

I hate to do that because Higgins wants out and a new contract WR is 1 of the positions that teams benefit by drafting your #1 and having them on rookie deal for 4 years and under team control for 5, alot of teams trade them after and restart to avoid the 30 to 40 mill per cap hit. Now that the Giants just did this type of trade for Burns don't think they can afford or want to do it again.

I'm Inclined to say yes because they are going to come up anyway and more than likely jump and us with those picks. Think we should be the ones to get the 2 firsts 11 and 23 don't want to be to greedy because they could take a deal from SD or AZ to, this draft is really good in the top 100 they will still get a #1 WR and possibly a #1 type corner because this draft is loaded with both and they are both needs. I think teams are gonna draft at least 4 QBs in the first and possibly 5 or 6 WRs add in maybe 3 tackles and a guard or 2 a few pass rushers there will be a really good CB waiting for us at 23.

I like the trade back but Penix is scary not only because of injury but he needs a fortress any pressure and he is off or sacked. Also he didn't use the middle of the field many people didn't want Eli in his later years because he was a statue Penix already is that already his feel and pocket presence is not much better than Jones and he doesn't have the means to escape and create. I would go Nix or later 3rd Rattler 4th Pratt all can at least by time and have improved to waring degrees against pressure Rattler has big time he was pressured 40% of the time and managed to be pretty good in SEC.

I only saw him in the playoffs so am far from an expert. He did impress me against UT but agree he struggled against the passrush.

I was really sold early in the college year and even later, then I started noticing with pressure he was bad his his pocket awareness in the Championship game was terrible and his accuracy is on the WR but the ball placement wasn't great. I think with work and coaching he can be ok but I would rather have a guy who can move NFL they have 2 to 2.5 seconds to get the ball out or move to create he doesn't have that part move to create.
