If you want your team to "pay the man", don't start crying when it's you that must pay.

I don't believe PSLs go to paying players. It go to owners for sopposed stadium costs and maintenance they couldn't get taxpayers to socialize when they beg people that they don't have money to build a new stadium. Sucks taxpayers in Buffalo got charged with taxes to fund the stadium and now they have to pay PSLs and then season tickets. Grifters going to grift.

it's been the way of the league for quite awhile now. Woiuld have been far more surprising if they didn't use them, sadly...I wonder what they'll charge for parking up there...

Are there any new Stadiums that don't have PSL's?

Most but not all teams have them nowadays.

I can remember when the Bills could not pay the bills. Ownership was thinking about moving to Toronto because they could not get enough fans to attend. I would think their non-football salaries are very high. I would assume each team's staff is 300+ employees and 1099s.

If a business needs taxpayer money to pay its employees maybe it shouldn't be in business. It has nothing to do with taxpayer money, It is the cost of doing bossiness. It is easy to say Taxpayer money. It sounds like a grant. It is not. It is paid back in the form of a 30-year lease. it will be paid back with interest. It also creates additional tax revenue with all the businesses that are supported. Not only the games but the ancillary events at the stadium. It is helping prop up the economy of the sounding area. it not the take you claim it is. It is a win for the small businesses in the area. Just the income taxes from the Bills players and the other 9 teams each year, will pay for the stadium before the lease expires. I fail to see your point.

Why can't they just take loans like regular business owners? Or start a go fund me amongst other owners and people who can put up the money? Why do they need to put more burden on the working class which have to prop up this economy. The poor can't afford and rich find ways around thier tax obligation. It not like they are a mom and pop trying to fight walmart to feed thier families . They literally are the walmart with no competition in sight. We could use that taxpayer money for more important things that can make life better for working families. We should stop the welfare system for rich folks and let the free market decide if thier business is good. The businesses will still get support because the NFL is a juggernaught whether they use taxpayer money or not they will still make money hand over fist. They will be asking for welfare handouts for a new stadium before the 30 years is up and take taxpayer money again. People are having a harder time with inflation, stagnant wages and putting food on thier table but they are asked to fund stadiums they cannot even afford to buy tickets to. I just think this is not how the free market works but socialism kind of works like that.

I thought taxes were applied to cities or municipalties they were in not to all tax payers of the state. How does it work when there are multiple teams in the same state? I am interested to learn more if you can direct me to the proper resource.
