That certainly an interesting take Jomo. You certainly could be right but I tend to think that this may be more representative of an owner with a conscious, speaking openly in today’s society. It is just one "take" on it, nothing more and probably borne out of a decade of poor hiring decisions with HCs and weak drafts. Remmeber when he fired TC but retained JR? It is that kind of stuff that drives me nuts. He probably found comfort in that totally illogical move by telling himself that he's an owner "with a conscience." What conscience, it made no sense, it was time to blow it all up and all he did in keeping JR was to delay the reconstruction of the franchise. That may have made him feel like a better person but it totally dumped on the fans who desperately need him to make better decisions. This is just one small example of a decade of bad decisions. If we were a winning franchise or even close to it, my comments wouldn't be as sharp BUT, Leadership and the decisions by the person at the top have major impact on the outcomes for any business. The NFL is just less punishing for leaders who make bad decisions. The stadium will still be full and the media contracts will still pay handsomely for mediocre performance. If we think back to the end of 2013; Mara gave a post season presser where he basically called out Tom for not playing young guys like Jerrel Jernigan. A day or two later Mara walked that back but it was already clear that Reese was in John's ear about Tom not playing his draft picks. By John retaining JR, that tells me a) he truly thought Tom was past his prime and/or b) he didn't want to totally blow up the team that rostered his 2x Super Bowl quarterback.
I've said this many times on here, and I'm guessing you got the same letter or email in which the Giants informed us that acquiring PSLs was essential for their financial security. The new stadium and state-of-the-art facility would position them to attract top-tier talent, enabling them to consistently contend for championships year after year.
Well, John succeeded in getting the PSL's and making his team one of the most valuable in all of sports. But his dream of building a contender has been a colossal failure.

You may recall that I walked away from my PSL "investment" over the TC episode. There was no other tangible way to express my frustration with JM. I don't like using words alone to make an important point. To his credit Mara wrote me a cordial note, the contents of which are too long to cover here. What I saw again is that he's good man at his core. We already knew that. What he is NOT is a good football franchise building mind. I don't know how long ago that was when I basically gave back the PSLs but not having to pay for the tickets in the years since, I have more than recovered that loss. If this FO gets us on a better path (always hopeful that Schoen and Daboll are just what need) I wouldn't rule out getting back in the ticket game but I need to see less of JM not more.

I do remember that yes and I gave mine up as well right before the 2019 season.
I don't miss not being there. I actually prefer it. But of course that's easy to say when we suck.
I can't say that I can envision going back. The only way I may consider it is if I did a club seat. And even then I couldn't see myself going to every game.
