I remember it very well. Al Downing pitching and Tom House caught the ball in the bullpen. Aaron, was the best wrist hitter I have seen.
Aaron, also received alot of death threats during that time.

I remember it very well. Al Downing pitching and Tom House caught the ball in the bullpen. Aaron, was the best wrist hitter I have seen. Aaron, also received alot of death threats during that time. No one chased down Babe Ruth and lived to tell about it.. The bigger than life player with an iconic 714 homeruns. Was now having his record broken after decades of not receiving a scratch. Baseball unlike any other sport puts their numbers behind glass. You can look at it.. even take a picture. Don’t dare try to break it. Or hell will be waiting at your front door. Hank Aaron took any pitch you can dish out and put it in the stands. He played the game the right way and epitomized what a major leaguer plays like. His race didn’t define him.. neither did his screaming line drives. His ability to rise above it all and still stand when so many would have fallen did.
