My thoughts and Prayers go out to Gettleman and his family and loved ones. I think I speak for all Giants fans when I say We are all pulling for you Dave to pull through this and get better soon Football takes a back seat to a persons health no matter who is Sick I am sure the Giants front office will be in good hands while Dave is on the mend and getting Treatments.

I heard on WFAN that his doctors are "positive" that the treatments will be successful.

I was diagnosed with cancer three years ago.
Heck of a wake up call. Thank god they caught mine in Stage 1. Very important to go for regular checkups. It is how they discovered mine.
A lot of tests and CTs and revisits to the hospital every year, but they’re optimistic that they got all of it. So now I’m in what Sloan calls their survivors program. This way I only worry about test results once a year instead of twice or three times.
It definitely changes one’s perspective on what is important in life, I can say for sure. Never discussed it on the boards before, but I guess this thread is conducive....
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Enjoy everyday and enjoy everyone.

Nothing like a shock to the system like that is there? As hard as it is you get the gift of perspective which helps bring so much more meaning in your life. God bless you my friend.

Wise words and you’re right. I never looked at it that way before but will now. I will say this, it makes getting stuck in traffic or watching your QB throw an interception much less upsetting lol. And thanks.
