I find it funny that the "Pundits" Always have the Giants trading up never down. Because there will be more clicks on an up trade even if logic suggests gain more picks not sell them

I wouldn't be against it. It has them moving up two spots without having to give up a future 1st.

I don't see us trading up unless it's for Drake Maye. I doubt we would draft McCarthy even if he fell to us at 6.

I've said in in numerous thread leading up to the draft, I don't think any of the QB's are worth the price of moving up, and personally would take one of the top WR's at 6 rather then a QB, but expect us to pick one if any of Daniels, McCarthy or Maye are there at 6.

For a second next year and a third this year? To get a extremely talented QB with all the tools who would be a great face of the franchise and a great role model?
I’d love it. Unlikely however.
Now…..trading up for Drake Maye - that would be lame 😉

My gut tells me they don’t love 4 out of 4 of the top QBs.
So there could be a QB on the board and JS starts accepting phone calls from teams acting like Mahomes II fell to #6.
Just like the Panthers paying Kareem Hunt $100 million, something wonky is going to happen at the top end of this draft. I can feel it.

I'd love to click on a link to hypothetical story about a team wanting to move in our spot. Haven't seen any. Probably because it's just not as logical or plausible as us wanting to move up.

Explain how selling draft picks is favorable with the condition of this roster? It would be the dumbest of all scenarios. Most likely resulting in another failed season. And new staff next year.

Don’t believe ANYTHING you see or read prior to the draft it’s either fake news for clicks or intentional diversion to throw off other teams.

He does not seem to be that stupid.

In a perfect world, Alt is there, Tennessee panics because they are afraid another team is going to jump up and trade for him, and they make a one spot move up to get Alt, leaving the Giants with the 7th overall plus a day 2 pick.

Trading back is my preference too, but the idea of trading up or reaching for a potential franchise QB is not stupid. They have the single biggest impact on games and good QB play can turn a franchise around.
Based on their track record, I have full confidence in any QB Schoen & Dabs decide to draft.

I mentioned waaay back, I really don’t think the Cards or Chargers want to trade far enough back to miss on the top receivers.
The Cards have a ton of draft picks already and the Chargers have little at receiver.

Agreed. Schoen is doing a pretty good job sending out smoke screens, in my opinion. Every day there's an article talking about a new player the Giants are interested in. At this point, I honestly have no clue who they're targeting.

I think you can believe some of what you see. the top teams picking this year all traded away their starting QB from last year the Vikings lost their QB and traded for an extra #1 pick. the Chargers are in prime position for a WR and moved out most of their receivers from last season

If we end up getting a stud WR at 6 I won’t be whining about it. I don’t think the QB that will lead us out of oblivion is on the roster though. I would take McCarthy at 6 if he is there. I guess I feel more comfortable with him than the others because I watched his every play for all 28 games and his 27-1 record. The dude is talented and a proven winner. I wouldn’t trade up for him if it involves any future #1 picks. A trade back is still desirable for me to possibly land Penix or even Nix who has the tools but not sure he has it between the ears. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t I just remember the terrible Auburn years. If we’re sticking with Jones or Lock we need weapons so I’m considering possibly Bowers number six and someone like Xavier Legette or maybe Keon Coleman or Brenden Rice in the second to provide some weapons for Lock or Jones. Bowers is the most talented TE to come out of college in years. He’s so good it became annoying because I’m not a Georgia fan but I watch a lot of Georgia games since I live in an SEC country. He will be a difference maker. But actually who the hell knows what’s gonna happen I’m just excited we have a chance to improve the team. ✌🏻

Kyle Pitts - Atlanta Falcons (Pick 4) Draft Class: 2021 T.J. Hockenson - Detroit Lions (Pick 8) Draft Class: 2019

Don’t believe ANYTHING you see or read prior to the draft it’s either fake news for clicks or intentional diversion to throw off other teams. Not really. A few years ago we all knew were taking Neal and Thibs.. In 2018 we heard all offseason about Jones. And the entire world knew we wanted Eli. There aren't that many surprises at the top of the draft. It's hard for teams to hide interest certain players and information does get out. I don't think it will be that big a surprise whomever we take.
