I have been going back and forth in my mind are we going QB or WR.

Don't know if there's ever been 4 QB's in the top 10. I believe Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, and Rosen might have been in top 10. Or Else Rosen just missed it and this year could be the 1st time.
I am 99% sure LAC drafts OL Joe Alt. Harbaugh loves to run the ball it's what both brothers do. Everywhere Harbaugh was a Head coach and he was successful in all 3 places he ran the ball Indy, S.F. Michigan.
He hired his old OC Greg Roman who runs the ball more than any OC in the NFL. He was also his brother's OC with the Ravens who ran the ball to death. The Chargers signed 2 Raven RB's Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins. Their drafting an OL not a WR imho.
That leaves the Giants all 3 top WR's. So imo if Big Blue doesn't trade up we get our choice of WR's. Can't make a bad pick.
Now if the Cards don't trade out they take JH jr. So when we pick we can choose the 4th QB or either of the 2 top stud WR's. It's like a game show now say we win a cool car that's going to be real good like either WR or we can choose what's behind door #1 the QB. Now we could win a Ferrari and maybe a trip to Tahiti too. Or we can win a toaster. But boy do we need that Ferrari to win.
I think I go WR but if that QB is still there I think were going for him. Hang on guys a big move one way or the other is coming.

I think the factor will be the Pats. They have a terrible roster. If Daniels isn't available to them they may be ready to trade down and accumulate picks.
My "guess" (and that's all it is) is they could be a potential trading partner with us. I would think Joe might be willing to trade up for Drake Maye. But I can't see us trading up for McCarthy. I don't even think we'd take him a 6. So I am suggesting that we either trade up to 3 for Maye, or sit tight at 6 and draft Odunze or Nabers.
I really don't know what I'm hoping for. I am still in "trust mode" with Schoen and Daboll at this point. So I'll be happy with whatever they decide.

Nabers has a really high ceiling.

The real question is how to they value Penix? Getting Maye will absolutely cost you a 1st next year minimum. If they really like Penix, can you take a WR at 6, and then trade your 2nd, Slayton (example) and a 2nd next year for Penix? The real wild card in my mind is do they see Maye Penix as night and day picks? Or do they see Penix as a legit bottom of the 1st value? With Jones/Lock they truly have the ability to sit someone the entire year if they want to. They could come out of this draft with one of those top WRs and QB they groom him a la Green Bay.

There is a lot of talk (pre-draft hype, I know) of Raiders taking Penix at 13. There is a pretty good possibility that both Nix and Penix go well before we'd have a chance to trade back into the first to grab either (which may be a blessing in disguise anyway). It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

If Denver is willing to overpay for an early pick ( if someone like JJ is on the board), you could really get pieces to help this year and next, and still find great WR talent in the 2nd. I still think that we’re going to see a player slide in this draft that most “analysts” saw going early. So much QB inflation and hype.

If Daniels gets past Washington I think the Giants will make a strong play to try to trade up for him.
Otherwise, I see them likely standing pat and taking Odunze, Nabers, MHJr(if avail).

I think Williams, Daniels, Maye, and McCarthy are going to be gone (not necessarily that order), and then Alt. I think it makes a lot of sense for the Cardinals to probably trade back and get draft picks and still get a receiver if that is what they are after. The question is, how far would they drop back? If they traded with us, even if the Chargers went receiver they would still have their pick of one of the big 3 receivers (Harrison, Nabers, Odunze). It is going to be an interesting draft.

Harrison falling to 6 would be one of the all-time draft surprises. I know but if he doesn't go at #4 it could very well happen. And I 'm honestly not sure that I take JH jr over either of the other 2. Odunze is compared to Mike Evans, Nabors is compared to Tyreek Hill. We can't make a bad pick.

My guess both McCarthy and Pennix wind up on 2 of these 3 teams by trading down or sitting and waiting for the draft to come to them.

This 1st rd is going to match the draft where 5 QB's were taken Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, and Jackson. Plus 7 or more LT's (my guess 9 or even 10 some will play Guard) and 5-6 WR's or more never seen a 1st rd like this more than half of the 1st rd dominated by 3 positions

That would be Mic Drop for me Yes pick the WR at #6 and come back into the 1st rd later. Maybe for 2 2nd rd picks this year and next. A number of scenario's. Or trade back to #9 or #10 nobody probably takes WR at #7 and #8. Jets don't have a 2nd rd pick so Chi. at #10 might be the target. They get their pick of Odunze or Nabors at #6 swap 1st's and they give us a 2nd rd pick. We then trade both 2nd rd picks to come back into the 1st rd. Tricky but this draft is going to be the Wild West. All gas - no brakes.

That would be Mic Drop for me I actually think it's a high-percentage scenario. Of course they would have to move up for Penix in the second. I am not really into giving up much for Penix. Maybe Nix is a fallback.

I think 1 and 2 are QBs, it gets iffy if New England stays at 3. New England needs a QB because they don't have one now except for a stopgap in Brissett, but are they thinking build around a future QB they get down the road...maybe next year? Not sure why they couldn't get a QB and then get weapons and protection this year, but it is a new group leading them so they may want to try to establish a recipe before going hardcore into rebuilding right now. They are probably the biggest wildcard early on. If they move out of 3 it will be because someone wants a QB. Four, if the Cardinals remain in that spot, the pick won't be a QB but if they move out of the spot it will be, and the same with Chargers at 5. I know Penix and Nix have been projected to be second-round guys but as a few here have said, I don't think they make it out of the first. I do think that Penix is loved by Mark Davis and will end up at the Raiders if he gets to them at 13. And, if Denver is champing at the bit as is being reported, they could snag Penix or Nix at 12. I think this may be the most chaotic pre-draft I have ever seen. I almost feel as if there are teams that are largely undecided on who they are fully targeting.

Agree I think the Giants might be in a win win situation if they stick and pick they will get a guy who is probably graded in the top 3 in this draft if they trade down they can solve a lot of problems between rounds 1-3 and get depth later rounds 4 through 6

Every year a top prospect falls and ends up further down than projected and someone ends up with a "steal". Who will it be this year and where are they going?

I have heard a lot about Maye dropping when I watch him he makes as more NFL throws than anyone other tahn Williams and does change plays at the LOS he has work to do with his feet s the Giants are a really good spot for him he can sit and learn.

Would be just fine if he dropped to #6. That’d be a pretty good start to the draft in my opinion.
