So, did Darnold sign a 1 yr back up contract? If yes, does he hit free agency? If not, does Minny give him the bag? Does that leave the nicked JJ McCarthy expendable? Of course NYG already had a shot to draft him but all options must be considered.
NYG must find a QB who raises his game in crunch time, who can play big in Prime Time games, and beat division rivals.

Giants had their chance to take JJ...strong armed kid with ice in his veins, that reads defenses pre snap and post....progresses nicely and throws rockets off his run right...instant upgrade, no assets given...rookie contract.

Giants had their chance to take JJ...strong armed kid with ice in his veins, that reads defenses pre snap and post....progresses nicely and throws rockets off his run right...instant upgrade, no assets given...rookie contract. I know they used one of their visits for him. Was it true interest or due diligence? If Minny decides to go Darnold long term me thinks JJ becomes available. I was very impressed with JJs leadership and positivity. We've seen skinny kids come into the league before and bulk up for the long haul. |

The only bag Darnold is getting from the Vikings is his luggage.. They not only let Cousins walk.. They pushed him out the door. And didn’t hesitate to draft his heir apparent. While he lasted all but five minutes before getting shelved for the season. It’s his team and Darnold is only keeping his seat warm for him.

I support your view of JJ but 6’3” 219 falls into your skinny category? Trevor Lawrence 6’6” 220 must fall into the really skinny category. Lamar Jackson 6’2” 205 must fall into the malnourished category. |
