Gotta think that if we can give him even average protection with our weapons that he can still make a lot happen on offense. I'm excited for the year.

there is no doubt he can still be good,in Shurmers offense with him running the offense from under center assuming they improve the run game he might even be better then we thought he could be.

Shurmer strikes me as the type of guy that designs his Offense around the talent he has and not try fit players into a scheme that doesn't fit their skill set.

You mean as opposed to, say, running the same formation 97% of the time regardless of the talent we have and how effect it is working? Or using 5 man protection every play regardless of how poor our offensive tackles are? Brilliant

It will come down to the confidence that Eli has in the OL. If he feels they are terrible, he will respond accordingly and rush his throws. It's how he's played these last couple years, you see it even on plays that he had plenty of time on.

It's how he's played these last couple years, you see it even on plays that he had plenty of time on. At least he'll have a better view of Flowers getting beat this year.

Seems like he's really enjoying the new scheme. Hopefully that'll help.
