Looks as if Kevin Abrams will take over at GM whenever DG calls it quits -
General manager Dave Gettleman today announced a series of personnel additions and title changes in the Giants’ front office, college scouting and football operations departments. Kevin Abrams, a member of the organization since 1999 and the assistant general manager for the last 16 years, has added the title of vice president of football operations. Mark Koncz, brought in by Gettleman as a consultant prior to the NFL Draft, is now the director of player personnel. Koncz was a member of the Carolina Panthers organization from 1994-2017 and was their director of pro scouting from 2000-17. He worked under Gettleman when the latter was the Panthers’ general manager from 2013-16.... read the story

I think one of the more important and significant firings by Gettleman was that of Marc Ross Director of Scouting. Ross's record of drafting players and overall management of his department was abysmal at best.

Looks like they will stick to what they do and try to keep it in the family, doubt we will here about it but wonder what changes will be made to the scouts them selves if any.

It is good the FO saw that Verderosa was not a good decision maker. I for one am happy he was demoted from executive scout to area scout. I just hope his prospect reports are not as lame as the advice he gave Ross and JR.

I believe they made some changes with their scouts as well. They touch on the scouts in this article.

Looks as if Kevin Abrams will take over at GM whenever DG calls it quits - When will that be? I think he stated it would be after Eli inks the 5 year fully guaranteed extension. I could be mistaken but I think that is what I read.

I also like Gettleman rejecting the amateur's approach that everyone associated with the past regime must go. Each person in there can stand on his own and earn his way onto the staff. Ross was the great non performer in there, no doubt.

Abrams is another guy who feels Eli has plenty left in the tank. Ross didn’t and he got the boot. Him and Reese were salivating at the idea of finally getting a chance to draft their own QB and buying themselves a few more years. I feel more confident with this regime who are looking out for the best interest of the team rather than having ulterior motives like the previous one.

I'm not sure I follow. You truly don't believe they were doing what they felt was in the best interest of the Giants? What were their ulterior motives?

To quietly take out Archie Manning as the head of the New York Giants illuminati. I miss Harooni.

I believe to push blame away from their subjective team building and coaching skills on to the players. It played out in front of us from mid season on. Ross , Reese and McAdoo were in full blown save my own ass mode towards the end.
