Watched him in the Independence bowl today..Wow He is NFL ready. 30/41 423 yds 6 tds total. Nice pre-snap reads.Threw 5 ran for 1 and even threw a pass to himself. Made quite a few NFL caliber throws. Darts all over the field. His coach at Duke also coached Peyton and mentored Eli. He hasn't made a decision on declaring for the draft but if he does watch out! There will be a bidding war for him. Redskins had their scouting staff at the game and I know the Bucs and the Raiders have interest.
On the down side he also threw 3 interceptions, 1 during garbage time..
If the Giants evaluate him as a franchise caliber I would be ok drafting him

I've been saying all along that I would not mind taking Jones but is he worthy of a 1st round pick?

I could see a trade up into the 20's in the first round to pick him. It will be symbotic. I mean who was deemed the Next Franchise QB after Phil Simms? Dave Brown from ----------- Duke.

Although I think he is good, 2020 will be a blockbuster draft with qbs that will be better than him. I could stomach Eli for 2019 then draft the next franchise the following year. We have faaar too many holes to fill to even think about being competitive. What I don't want to see is a 3rd or 4th round Lauletta type reach. Or even a Webb type pick. Those were wasted picks. If need be we can pick a vet off the street for the backup role if Eli goes down

I still think Jones will be the first QB selected in the draft. With his size and attributes he should excel at the combine in Indianapolis. Whether or not his body of work dictates that is another story.

I think if Haskins declares he goes first.Has an insane upside that if he goes to the right situation can be unbelievable. As much as we are trashing Gruden,he knows QBs and is a qb guru and has always wanted to mold his own guy from scratch. They have the recourses to move up if they really like him as well and can obtain additional recourses trading Carr(who I legit think Gruden loved when he got there but saw a qb that was damaged mentally and physically) They get maybe 2 additional 2nd round picks, give Arizona one of their acquired first this year, one of their acquired 2nds(Carr trade)this year and one of their 2nds next year. They can sign a guy like Bradford (who at this point knows his big money days are over)to hold the fort(and he has played in WCO systems most his career). Gruden now can concentrate on building Haskins up,maybe getting him in games with a few series to get him used to game speed ,and when Bradford has his inevitable injury at least Haskins has seen a few things on tbe field
Anyway I thing Jones will be there for us and I'm starting to slowly warm up to him if we go qb this year for all the things mentioned
