Would you trade down in the draft for an extra draft pick/s?
Most notably I’m thinking Jacksonville. They need a quarterback and I’d love to wait until 20’. They almost HAVE to take one. They’ll want Haskins I think, he’s the BPA at QB.
What could we snare swapping with the Jaguars if we finish above them? A 1st next season for a trade up? Extra picks to get everything ready for the next guy?
Hopefully they finish 1 spot below us and we can take a defensive gem like Oliver or Allen. Oliver as a 5 tech would be exceptional I reckon with BJ Hill on the other side who is turning out awesome. An edge terror is definetly needed however and we all like Allen. He’s a good one I think.

Jacksonville is in a win now mode. No rookie Quarterback will lead them to the Super Bowl. They will go after Foles, Bridgwater.Brissett or maybe Eli. Yes, I would trade down. Depending on what will be getting in return.

IMO: There is too much Defensive talent in the top of this draft to want to move down.

I’d trade down for picks next year. DG gonna need em.
I think there’s enough defensive talent and oline depth to make the team better if we pick in the top 15-ish
Take the highest ranked defensive player on your board rd 1. Highest ol rd 2. Position doesn’t even matter, haha.
Maybe not a DT or SS if a lb, edge, cb, or FS is close. OL is a pick em in my mind.
Rest of the draft on defensive BPA and/or trades to acquire picks next year for the capital to move up after 8-8 2019 season.

Yes I would but it depends on the # of picks and the position..2 - 3 picks and still top 15 perhaps..That way we can get ER and OL help immediately

I'm thinking that there will still be a really good player available at 6, and i would not trade it cheaply.

Every Mock I've seen has us taking Haskins Should, the Giants were to take Haskins. Then, he would have to play almost right away. If not, then the team will be almost the same as this past year. I would like to see a trade down.

Kid needs a year behind Eli, and will still take his lumps in his “rookie” year of 2020. I guess we can hope for a mahomes type situation, but I’m not betting on it. Miked’s point is also correct, unfortunately. This defense is going to be a straight up catastrophe without top level, round 1 infusion of talent. They overachieved this year with that roster, and that’s scary, cause they weren’t good. Beale better be the real deal, Collins has to play like its 2016, and carter, hill, and Tomlinson all need to develop at an above avg pace. Throw in normal production from ov and jj and maybe, maaaayyyybe we can go 8-8/9-6 and get in with a weak schedule.
