A “win now” strategy doesn’t make a whole lot of sense if you don’t - you know - win now. I don't care what any rep from the team says, of course they will say win now, but the expectations for this team should be tempered a bit. What is the main goal of all teams playing in the NFL?

On offense, the one with the ball. On defense, the one near the ball. 19/21

What is the main goal of all teams playing in the NFL? To make gobs of money It is all about money to some extent. Owners are extremely wealthy. They want trophies. That is the purpose. If that is not the goal . Just sign 53 league min UDFA. You can save 100 million doing that . It is not all about $ for the owners. It about the bling.

What is the main goal of all teams playing in the NFL? I am talking about the fans, not the team. I am talking about reality here. To be realistic so not to be overly disappointed in the end result if it is not the desired result, get it? Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing the team get back doing many things that are involved in controlling games at a basic level. I don't have high expectations on points scored or winning a S.B. this coming season, realizing these things usually come with time. The problem with this is having key players at the end of their careers or contracts, so that the rebuilding will inevitably have to take steps back, rather than a steady improvement. I think this is what many fans see as an issue with where we are now.

That all I want get into the playoffs. The rest is icing on the cake if we can make a run.

What is the main goal of all teams playing in the NFL? To make money. As I said if it was about the money, why spend 179 to make 45 (The average owners profit) . Just sign 53 UDFAs and save 100 million. IMO it is about trophies.

And the prestige of being an NFL team owner. I really doubt too many of these guys care if they're even loosing money, as far as this venture.

Well that is easy....because maybe if you spend 178 you only make 10. People won't come to watch 53 UDFA. The only reason winning is important to NFL teams is because winning teams usually produce more revenue. If you notice in some places that isn't the case and those teams do very little to try to win a Super Bowl.

If you notice in some places that isn't the case and those teams do very little to try to win a Super Bowl. And there's no better example of this than the team owned by the goober pictured above. The Cowboys haven't sniffed a Super Bowl in the past 20+ years. But the fans still fill the seats at Jerry World, buy the merchandise, and watch the games on TV. So, those fans probably won't see a Super Bowl anytime in the remaining years of Jerry's existence...unless, of course, they just happen to win by accident. And, TEM...how do you profit on a house? By selling it for more than you bought it for. Take a look at what the average NFL owner paid for his/her team, and what that team is valued at today. THAT'S where the profit is.

I think you guys are putting too much emphasis on money is what motivates the owner Yea Jerry lives in a bubble and has his marketing side gig. For the rest the revenue sharing is an equal and they are all extremely wealthy without making a cent. They have it set up so each piece of the pie is the same as the next owners. The club is expensive to buy into and exclusive. They want it that way. Bronx unlike your house. They make the value not the market. You are buying into the club and not what it really is , A kids game that men play. If you market as that . Who is buying that? Market it as the exclusive club that it is. No price is too big.
I believe I almost can see what it is like to be an owner. Egocentric Self promoting Chiefly Indulgent Snobbish. When these guys get together their all equals But when you walk in that room of your supposed equals with that diamond incrusted finger adornment. It sets you above the rest. It does it without saying a word. . It is literally a game to them and it is not the game of Football they play.
Just my 2 cents

TEM, seriously, it really is just about the money for NFL owners. Sure they like to win, it makes it fun for them. But if one could find a way to make more money both in short and long term by losing, it takes longer to sneeze then it would for them to decide their course of action.

HAS to be Andrew Adams OUTSIDE of the obvious choices. HE has the chance to MAKE noise with a competent regime. With footsys true colors SHOWING again Dave and Pat will say cya footsy we dont need ya come AA play some SAFETY. I'm excited GIVE him the chance and we are IN. AA-Collins what a DUO. Its NO coincidence that Collins didn't play up to 16 when footsy was his WALKING mate. Mookie Betts

Too many to list just one. The teams success depends on many players doing their jobs very well.
New coaches too. I am excited for a lot of things this season

Special teams. They have to help win at least 3 games for us this yr via either a blocked punt, a punt rt for a TD, huge TO that results in a TD, something. Our STs has been hot garbage for a while now. A good team has to win at least in 2 phases of the game every week, can't win with just 1 phase of the game doing good while the other 2 stink.

I've bitched bout ST's for years now. it's been pretty bad and puts us in big holes too many times.
