It kind of misses the point, like firing Gilbride, Coughlin w/o releasing Resse.
We know the problem and all of this turnover of coaches and GMs masks the root cause of our dismal franchise.
Fire every coach, clean out the FO, release every player from their contract.
It doesn't solve the root cause of or dismal franchise....
Doesn't it?

Pugh looks good over there in Arizona now...
And just this past offseason he let our best OLman go as well, in Zeitler, who is on an OL for a 5-1 team on their 47th RB and still running the ball, and that 47th RBs name is Devonta Feeman, the 2020 NYGs very own, who we let go to sign Devontae Booker for much more. Now, Freeman isnt being used much, but last game he had 9 carries for 53 yards and a TD. Booker had 12 carries for 41 yards and 0 TDs.

How long must Irish Mike keep the avatar that vinnie gave him? And what exactly was the bet they made? Just curious.. no axe to grind here.

And the GM lets another trade deadline pass making zero effort to help rebuild this team at all. Well done moron. No one wants to give up draft picks for our players even later round picks. Nothing was ever going to get done and anyone who thought something would get done was fooling themselves. I bet no one wants to even give up a 7th for either Engram or Slayton. I bet an injured Barkley would not even yield better than a 5th or later. Similar would apply to a Ximines or a Lorenzo Carter. Asking for a 7th would be asking for too much at this point.

And people were talking about some teams wanting Engram.....LOL NOBODY wants our guys.....You couldn't get a third round pick for Barkley....and even if that was the one phone call that came in you know Gettleman said no.

Im going to keep beating this dead horse until it is pulp in the dirt.
Its obvious they will at the very earliest wait until the conclusion of this disastrous season number 4 for this bozo. 4 years. And we somehow are not any better if not worse than we were when he got here. We need 4/5ths of our OL corrected for 2022. We have Ojulari as a pass rusher and thats it.

What some folks need to understand is that Dave sold out for THIS season. he back loaded guaranteed contracts to 2022 and 2023 because we had no cap room. Those deals for Williams, Golladay and Adore Jackson are going to kick in NEXT year. He redid Shepard's deal to put more bonus money in future years. He mortgaged our future for success in 2021.
So we are 3-7 and in a terrible position cap wise for the next two seasons. Whoever comes in to try to clean this mess has a heck of a job in front of him. It will take a couple years just to untangle the mess Dave has created.
I'm wondering if anyone in their right mind would want that job. This may be the LEAST desired job, both GM and HC, in the NFL.

Yup. This is why DG needed to be fired prior to backloading all these contracts to try to save his ass on a badly built team. This is what Reese did in 2016 but at least his plan worked. DG had to restructure Bradberrys contract 2x in a span of 2 months to keep room. Embarrassing.

I’m not being sarcastic when I say this but it’s truly amazing to have as many high draft picks as DG has had and not only not have a single difference maker that he drafted but to have an arguably worse team, the same at best, as when he took over as GM is something that would be hard to accomplish if I tried. I’m not sure that we’re better in a single position now compared to when he was hired as GM. Our secondary I guess, that’s about it.

#1 Why wait unless you already have your next GM in the bag?
#2 Please be accurate. Please. What a Shitshow this man has made this team. It's going to take few more years to dig ourselves out no matter who we hire next.

Unless there is a different process in place for hiring a new GM, I have little hope for any real change…or a better hire.

They are better off throwing a dart at a GM dartboard blindfolded at this point. I hope they hire some guy that makes everyone of us say "Who?"? That means it would be very unlike anything we have been doing and it not working.

Hit a paywall. Can u summarize? it's actually on the front page of NFL.com right now. For some reason links from that site don't work. Here is most of the article: The New York Giants made a bold move earlier in the week, firing offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. With that change in hand, one can't help but contemplate what's next. And that likely won't be the only change they make with an eye toward the future. General manager Dave Gettleman, who has run the team's personnel department since 2018, is unlikely to return in 2022, sources with knowledge of the situation and those with deep knowledge of the league say. With two first-round picks in the next draft and a critical offseason ahead, don't be surprised if there is another voice making the final call alongside head coach Joe Judge. Gettleman, who will be 71 next season, may end up walking away himself and into retirement.

Part of piece by Ian Rapoport: General manager Dave Gettleman, who has run the team's personnel department since 2018, is unlikely to return in 2022, sources with knowledge of the situation and those with deep knowledge of the league say. With two first-round picks in the next draft and a critical offseason ahead, don't be surprised if there is another voice making the final call alongside head coach Joe Judge. Gettleman, who will be 71 next season, may end up walking away himself and into retirement. While the 2021 season is far from over heading into Sunday's game against the Eagles, New York would need to go on quite a run to reach the playoffs. An uphill battle, but not unprecedented. But, given one large alteration already occurred, it makes sense to zero in on another. In the building, there would be some strong candidates to replace him, notably VP of football operations and assistant GM Kevin Abrams. Outside the building, the organization will likely look at some candidates with a background in the New England scouting system more in-line with Judge's thinking, along with others.
