Is it actually “railroading” someone that spent years railing against DNC and how he’d never run on their ticket and then that same person attempting to get the Democrats nod because it would give him a better chance? It’s a double edged sword because Bernie lack of full support of hRC after she got the nod cost HRC a lot of Bernie voters. Part of the reason I like Bernie is because he is not a blind follower of the party. I disagree with his stances because I think he is wrong, but you have to respect the fact that he believes these things and not because he is towing a party line. Actually I have little respect for Bernie because he decided to run on Democrat ticket after railing about how he never would for decades and then he basically threw a hissy fit when he didn’t get his way and surprised no one with his lack of support. I also have no respect for Bernie because he’s a misogynist.

Nope, he would have been crushed in those demographics. Socialism doesn't fly there or anywhere not named NYC, LA, SF, Seattle, Chicago.... A lot of blue collar Bernie support shifted to Trump after the primaries. The DNC lost those votes to the GOP. Had they not, they may have won the election as it may have been enough to swing some of the close states. The people who voted for Hillary would not have shifted to Trump had Bernie received the nomination. Frankly, I was horrified with any of those three candidates possibly winning. A lot of that was because Bernie failed to throw full support to HRC as well as HRC failing to campaign in rust belt states. HRC as well as POTUS Obama stance that ACA was fine and not offering any type of solution in regard to the insane premiums while speaking during campaign turned off a lot of voters.

People are dividing along party lines with no regard to what is right, wrong or best for the people of the nation. I've said many times that the best thing is to do away with parties altogether. We are a nation of individuals. Our representatives should be individuals as well and not beholden to any party only to those he/she represents. If you are a rep from the 3rd district of PA, then you should vote on policy based on what is in the best interest of the individuals in the 3rd district of PA. That is the idea of how it should work.

You are like...168 years old, right? No Twitter account...maybe a Facebook page where you connect with the kids and grand kids (and stalk ex girlfriends). If I said in this thread that I hate the Irish, and that anyone Irish is trash, would you like my post? More to the point, would you quote my post to your friends without any further comment? Because that is essentially what people do when they retweet things. Do I know what is in the man's should and heart from this? Not at all, a ridiculous concept. Is it fair to say that if a man does enough retweeting of questionable things that the burden shifts to him to show he's not supporting those things? Let me stop you before you answer - the Twitterverse says it does. That’s a crazy analogy and a huge stretch. There’s a big difference between saying you hate all Irish and they are trash and saying you hate someone like Conor McGregor and he’s trash. I'm not saying I would make that connection, or that I even think it makes any sense at all...I'm saying it's how Twitter works.

Actually, how it’s “supposed” to work is you run for the nod for the party you believe in and if you lose, you support whoever the winner is because you’ve chosen the party that you believe. Now, Bernie didn’t do that. Bernie attempted to get the nod from a party he has repeatedly claimed that he doesn’t believe in and when he didn’t get that nod, he refused to support the candidate that did win the nod. As bad as some may think HRC is, she is a far superior choice than what is in WH right now. Rep from districts and how they should or shouldn’t vote is a totally different discussion than getting the party nod to run for POTUS.

On a more important note, I just paid 4.25 per gallon to fill up my car before going into work today. I live in San Bernardino County but make the commute to Orange County every work day. It is about 35 miles away, so I have to fill up my gas tank every week. How much is gas where you guys live at?

No, it isn't. This is what creates partisan politics and the politicians working for themselves and each other, not for the people. If this is what you want then you have gotten the gov't that you desire right now. You must be thrilled with the current government representation across the board.
