This question came up during a convo with a friend about Odell Beckham. My friend was a big Odell fan and we were arguing about his leadership ability, saying Odell was a good leader. I made the argument, why was he never a team captain. I don't recall the gmen not having their best player as a captain.
My friend then said LT was never a team captain but I'm not sure. I know Carson's was a captain, but was LT never a captain? I need to go rub my friends face in it.

Did I post in the wrong section or did someone move this? I'm sleepy and don't recall.

I remember Carson, George Martin and Simms we’re captains during LT years. But to answer your question he wasn’t labeled a captain. But when he spoke everyone listened. Played hurt, and from all accounts was a great teammate.

I don't believe LT ever was a captain. I remember Harry Carson as the defensive captain. And yes George Martin also.

Too much partying to be a team captain. No doubt a team leader though.
