I first would like to thank Rosie again for giving the NY Giants Message Board refuges a new place to discuss football. The Giants really crapped the bed if they thought we could have meaningful discussions on Facebook and twitter, what a joke.
As for the question: Does anyone know if this board can handle an active game day discussion without crashing like the old boards? That was really the only frustrating aspect of the old boards. IMO, commenting on the game as is occurs has tremendous value in terms of entertainment and info. |

I guess we will find out. |

Hey guys - at this time we are contemplating creating Game Day threads but we have also kicked around the idea of using the SHOUTBOX feature on the site. As this is all new to al of us, we'll work through this together to find the best solution.

One thing I would ask of our members is not use the attachment feature. This board has limited storage for that feature. Instead we ask that everyone host their pictures and link to them with the Insert Image feature.
As others said, we're are going to have to find out. We can open a Game Day thread as well as the Shout Box feature (as Sarc mentioned) for the first preseason game and go from there.
And in response to JB456, I'm very happy I happened to create this board years ago as it's served nicely to keep us all together. It's also really great to see so many guys contributing and not seeing my name all over the place.

The game day thread could simply be a locked thread linking to the chat. Although it is always fun to have the game day emotions immortalized in MB posts. |
