Hmm I wonder if slight upgrade from Jones? I believe he was an UDFA. Salako can't be great if the Browns dumped him this early. First yr also so must also be UDFA
But seeing we are #2 and Browns #1 we were first in line to put a waiver claim in for him. Really no risk in trying.
This is how it could work for the Gmen the rest of the off season on guys that get cut. We will be right at the top of the list for every name that comes down the pike
You Know there's always surprise cuts and we will be standing there waiting

Flex that #2 slot for all it's worth. Gotta find somebody who can make this team better.

Do we stay at #2 all season? Or is it like Fantasy Football where you go to the back of the line every time you use claim someone on Waivers?
If we stay at #2, we better claim every single OT/OL that gets cut. It's an obvious long shot, but finding an unexpected starting level talent on the OL would do wonders for us this year.

Cycle them thru until one or possibly two stand out. That’s all this is.

This is nothing but a waste of time imo. Depth for pre season ? The last cuts after the 4th game maybe somebody shakes loose that is usable, possibly after the 3rd game. I think that's our best shot for depth with some actual NFL talent.

It's all done in one big cut after the 4th game I believe

Decent size LT. Cleveland went for a bigger LT who has 2 years in the NFL, who was plagued by injury the last 2 seasons.

Cleveland took a guy who couldn't make it through August in the last 2 years over a healthy 2nd year. We couldn't have a better team picking ahead of us.

WEAKNESSES: Straight-legged blocker with poor knee bend and overall leg stiffness.
This is exactly what's wrong with Flowers. WTH?

One team's garbage is another team's treasure! Honest question , has a move like this ever worked out? I can't remember. Mainly sarcasm...good question... lineman: Saturday (Colts), Wes Welker, Cris Carter & our own Kurt Warner are some notables. To your point, not that many have made it... who knows "maybe" bring in a few bodies to compete to sure-up reserves or even a short term upgrade since Flowers is a concern... early in pre-season.

All this means is the Giants think he's better than Jorron Jones....not a far fetched idea, imo.
