I enjoyed listening to this coach. He's the first coach I've ever heard say that the team needs to establish their 5 guys fairly early to let them get ready as a group.
In past seasons we were interchanging Olinemen as if chemistry meant nothing - and they played like it.

Looks like we definitely got an upgrade in coaches.

At least he gets it, the last how many years from the front office to the coaching staff no one wanted to talk about or even touch the subject of how important OL play is to the team as a whole, it affects every facet of the game, at least we know now the trenches on both sides of the ball will be a priority.

lets hope as time goes by they get more in tune together and starting gelling, a lot of what goes on in practice is slanted to one side or the other, interested to see how they do the first couple preseason games, last five years they couldn't even run the offense they had so much pressure.

Looks like we definitely got an upgrade in coaches. Yes, coaching matters. Yup and so does "establish 5 guys that play together." That fact has been pooh-poohed here many times but is one of the most important things about a good OL. It is more than the sum of the individual talent. Also interesting he says center is harder to find than LT.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him make the practice squad

The entire staff seems to be engaged with what they do. I did not get that vibe under the previous regime.

It is more than the sum of the individual talent. Also interesting he says center is harder to find than LT. And establish a style and system and acquire players that fit the system. And have a coach that can train/coach/teach that style and fix technical issues. And have a GM that's on the same page as said staff. Something that has been missing since 2010

I think the more successful teams fit the scheme to the players instead of acquiring players that fit "the system."

ok....sounds good.
But he did say John Jerry was a standout....in a positive way.
I am questioning the coach's judgement already...lol

I remember the amazing coach John Wooden at UCLA basketball (years ago) and that was his main thing. Creating a system around the players talent and what they do best. Not the other way around.
