I don't wanna see a bunch of incomprehensible and contradictory tackling penalties due to the new rules. I understand the purpose is to prevent serious injuries, but exactly where are the defensive guys supposed to put their heads?.. Face UP into the tackle might snap a neck. It's gonna be a mess in the beginning, that's for sure.
I DO however approve of the kickoff changes as I think/hope it will lead to better runbacks and fewer injuries.

There's absolutely no reason for OBJ to be on the field at all this preseason IMO. Just not worth the risk especially in games that are basically meaningless. Avoid injury risk to Odell and then let the guys battle it out for the 3rd and 4th WR spot. I do want to see Saquon a little bit, but I would be very careful with his snaps as well. I really don't see a reason for Eli to play either. Even guys like Collins I would be a little nervous to see since he has had those setbacks with his arm, although he seems to be good to go at the moment Let the players who need to earn spots play and the really young guys who will have a big role play limited snaps. Not seeing any absolutely blown blocks from the starting offensive line would be nice as well lol Odell could very well be kept out of all 4 preseason games. He may also be kept out of practices with full contact.
Unfortunately, that increases his chance of getting hurt during the season.
That's unfortunate but very true MH

I'll tell you flat out what I don't want to see. I don't want to see any starting skill position player on the field at all. I'm talking about Eli, ODB, SS, Engram and Barkley. They should not even suit up. As a matter of fact, don't even put in Solder since he'll be a huge piece of the puzzle this year on offense. All these guys should be in street clothes for game 1. Now, do you want to know WHY? GREG FREAKN WILLIAMS. He has an extremely punch-able face and should've been barred from the NFL a long time ago. He is the Browns POS DC that loves to teach his guys to play dirty. Also was a key part of bountygate against Favre years back. Dude is a proven scumbag and there's no doubt in my mind he told his guys to aim low on ODB last year. I don't want any of the skill players putting themselves in danger because of a reckless and dirty DC. I agree with you 100% about that POS Williams. The NFL should have threw him out years ago after the N.O. fiasco. But I'm not sure our guys shouldn't play. We still need to get our own work done. I'm not sure where I stand here. You have brought up a very good point and I don't know how to protect our players that do play.

I think the Giants ought to do what they should in order to evaluate the team. We play AFC opponents of the Browns in the regular season, so Greg Williams would be going against his best interests to deliberately try to injure one of the Giants players. I don't see him having an incentive to do that.

What don't I want to see? The game. Preseason games are irrelevant. Boo this man!

I'm not familiar with this man's reputation. But you know the Jets always seem to want to play tougher and win the meaningless preseason matchup. And usually the last preseason game, it is common practice to sit most of the starters. I'd rather see what areas need tweeking in the first game, and have a few weeks to work on it before the regular season starts. I understand what you mean and would agree with you if they were playing any other team but the Browns. The only reason why I don't want to see the key players suit up is because of GW. There's a notion that the officials will be looking to enforce new rules heavily in the preseason, to get the players more aware of it. I was wondering if any suspensions coming from a preseason game would be carried over to regular season games? That might be an incentive to not target certain opposing players. I would think the Browns could be a competitive team, this and future seasons.

We are going to watch a bunch of veterans trying to avoid getting hurt and a bunch of rookies trying to impress the coach, but most looking lost on the field. Most interesting thing to watch for awhile will be the new 3-4 defense. That will be something to keep an eye on. Could cost us some games before the players hopefully get it right. Reduced practice and keeping players out really hasn't cut down on key Injuries. If the "head" tackling rule is inforced, and I hope it is, we will see higher scoring games this season and less serious Injuries as the "head hunters" will be reduced! :-X
