I'll tell you flat out what I don't want to see.
I don't want to see any starting skill position player on the field at all. I'm talking about Eli, ODB, SS, Engram and Barkley. They should not even suit up. As a matter of fact, don't even put in Solder since he'll be a huge piece of the puzzle this year on offense. All these guys should be in street clothes for game 1.
Now, do you want to know WHY?
GREG FREAKN WILLIAMS.
He has an extremely punch-able face and should've been barred from the NFL a long time ago. He is the Browns POS DC that loves to teach his guys to play dirty. Also was a key part of bountygate against Favre years back. Dude is a proven scumbag and there's no doubt in my mind he told his guys to aim low on ODB last year. I don't want any of the skill players putting themselves in danger because of a reckless and dirty DC.

Always look forward to the first game and am bored before halftime and off to a good movie! OBJ has no one to blame but himself, he put the target on his back and it will be there all season! 2hebpqr

I don’t think you will see the OL out there for the first half. Probably a couple of series and then the backups start to come in.

Given the moves made to show a win now approach, it wouldn't make any sense not to get at least the complete starting O-line and Manning out there for a few series in game situations A.S.A.P.. And also having some of the skill set players might create a few plays to draw confidence going into the regular season. It's going to be a tough enough start to the schedule, without going against those teams with ours still learning the new schemes and hopefully gelling. Teams that already have established systems, coaches, and player familiarity are the ones who have the option to keep their starters on the sideline.

I would rather not see Beckham on the field at all. I wouldn’t put Eli out there either but it’s less of a concern with him.
Barkley let him get a couple reps then yank.
Gotta avoid those knee and ankle injuries

I'd like to see the team come out clean with no injuries.
Also, few penalties. I know preseason there are bound to be some, but I really want to see a discipline team out there. I'm also curious to see how the helmet rule will be enforced.

The game.
Preseason games are irrelevant.

There are a few more pre-season games to get the offense rolling. Playing them against a dirty DC in the first pre-season game is a high risk low reward scenario.

I agree with you about Williams and get a sense the Browns are totally dysfunctional, but the Giants have to do what think is best to get themselves ready for the Jags. I’m guessing Eli and most starters will play some because it’s a new offense, but I don’t expect to see Odell because of the injury.

I'm not familiar with this man's reputation. But you know the Jets always seem to want to play tougher and win the meaningless preseason matchup. And usually the last preseason game, it is common practice to sit most of the starters. I'd rather see what areas need tweeking in the first game, and have a few weeks to work on it before the regular season starts.

I dont want to see any injuries.
But with new schemes in all three phases and a decent amount of roster changes - notably a remade OL - this team needs as many reps together as possible. I think we need to start the 1s for a series or two.

I don't want to see the 2nd team o-line crumble so quickly that we have no chance to actually evaluate the QB play... which has been the case forever in the preseason. QB's running for their lives...smh. D Carr was used to it.. which made him a preseason superstar..

Fellas.....it's football. they have two new schemes to work on and practice isn't going to cut it.
You can't keep players out just because the opposing DC is mean. Aren't we supposed to be mean too?

A streaker running across the field of play. A squirrel or cat running across the field of play and 10 security guys who can't catch them. A dumb ass drunk running across the field of play and kiss one of the refs. Wait, no. Actually, I do want to see all three of those events happen. Put a little more entertainment into the pre-season. .

There's absolutely no reason for OBJ to be on the field at all this preseason IMO. Just not worth the risk especially in games that are basically meaningless. Avoid injury risk to Odell and then let the guys battle it out for the 3rd and 4th WR spot.
I do want to see Saquon a little bit, but I would be very careful with his snaps as well.
I really don't see a reason for Eli to play either. Even guys like Collins I would be a little nervous to see since he has had those setbacks with his arm, although he seems to be good to go at the moment
Let the players who need to earn spots play and the really young guys who will have a big role play limited snaps.
Not seeing any absolutely blown blocks from the starting offensive line would be nice as well lol

He may also be kept out of practices with full contact.
Unfortunately, that increases his chance of getting hurt during the season.

I want to see the Oline starters play till mid second quarter.
Davis Webb should be utilized in a manner that they can actually draw conclusions as to his strengths and weaknesses.
I’m really looking forward to seeing BJ Hill and Carter.
And I want to see the difference in the new kickoff configuration and how it will change the game.

This team won 3 games last year. I want the players out there, injuries are part of the game. We are not protecting a Championship team here. Lots of new players that haven't even played together. The O-line needs to play. At best we are a 8-8 team maybe 9-7 if we are lucky. We need to see if OBJ is the same player or a sad version of Cruz before he gets that guaranteed contract!. OBJ30
