Lots of talk right now about whether we will be good or worse than last year or the best team ever going on right now. So less than a week away from our first game go on record of predicting our record this year.
I'm going with 10-6 and a tough team in the playoffs. I think we surprise most people. This offense is going to score points and keep us in most games. Our D will take lumps early on as they learn but I think we have more talent than last year. We lost 8 games by 1 score last season, I think we will be good enough to turn 5 of those around and find ways to win. We are also lucky with the schedule having Tate out for the first four games and this very young D adjusting to each other and this OL meshing during that time happens to be our "weakest" four game stretch.
Poll closes on game day.

I went with 10- 6 being the consummate optimist.

I think we have a decent shot at 9 - 7. I find the math to 10 - 6 a touch rough, and I hope the team proves me wrong!!

7-9.
Offense is fine but the defense loses the games.

6 -10.. Eli starts, outside of Barkley G-men don't have much of an O. D is suspect and unknown.. If we are floundering hovering about the .500 mark or below, then Jones starts we'll have an iffy record anyways..

I've been saying 10-6 since the draft finished. No reason to change.

6-10
Change in the QB mid season, complete lack of top WR talent, porous defense but we play a "lighter" schedule so we will add some Ws.

I went with 10- 6 being the consummate optimist. thats normally my go to record each season. I chose 9-7 and really 7-9 is more like it but a few good bounces of the ball and the potential to have three decent pass rushers in Carter, Golden, and X-Man could change things. The offense may no name receivers to a degree but I see it as being very efficient in moving the chains. Having a "dynamic" WR is not a necessity ( although its a great thing to have) and this season they may not have one.

6-10 Change in the QB mid season, complete lack of top WR talent, porous defense but we play a "lighter" schedule so we will add some Ws. 7-9 for the same reasons The offense will probably be fundamentally sound and we will see a lot of Shurmer's schemes but lack of a dynamic playmaker causes the offense to be impotent at times... We need realistically 27 plus points a game to have a chance with our defense Realistically this offense is a 21-23 point a game offense Yes 7-9 But a 7-9 team that really has all arrows pointing up so it wont be as depressing

7-9.
Hopefully Jones finishes up the season and shows continued promise heading into next year.

My most optimistic prediction is 8-8 but I wouldn't be shocked if they went 7-9 or 9-7.

8-8
From 2017 to 2018 we jumped from a 3 win team to a 5 win team. I see us being 3 games better from last year.

I’d be delighted if we can get to 8-8 or better but realistically I voted for 7-9 having looked through our schedule and picked the W and L probabilities.

7-9
I don't see us doing much with Eli behind center especially with average at best targets. I think Slayton will emerge but later rather than sooner -but this season.
I think the defense will get its act together by mid year and hold up better than most expect.
If Barkley gets injured we're screwed.

I voted for 8-8, but I think that would be if we don’t have any major injuries, and I am assuming Jones plays somewhere mid season.

7-9. Offense will look ok. We dont have a defense. Hopefully some of the high draft picks from this year and last show some flashes. Thats really all we can hope for.

Can't go with what happened last year.. But what people forget is that other teams improved, changed personnel and coaches. They might be better or worse. Its a moving target
