At least it wasn't an INT. What... Butt Fumble #2 is better than an INT?
Do we credit VanderEsch's ass for the FF?

Well that was disappointing end. Was hoping to see him throw it down field some. Oh well... Pretty terrible opening game.

Defense might be worse than last year. We can NOT get to the QB with any consistency. Shurmur forgets we have Barkley on the team. No legitimate threat in the wide receiver position. All rookies played like rookies..

I dig that the Giants did get Jones on the field.

Jones better learn how to hold onto the football. He’s put it on the ground 3 times in less than a Games worth of work.

That coaching performance was right up there with some of McAdoo's finest.

Daniel Jones completed every pass and got a chance to actually learn something about ball protection in a game that was otherwise, a lost cause.

Nope. They had 4 turnovers today and still beat the Jets. Their defense is way better than Dallas'. Our defense made Prescott look like Staubach and will make Allen look like Jim Kelly. Buffalo will win by around 10. Their o-line isn't better. But they have Beasley who will murder us. Their D is very good. Despite the 4 turnovers(one was a flukey pick 6) they found a way to win. They harassed Darnold endlessly. I'm expecting a highly inspired NYG team but if Eli plays they will get in his helmet.

All rookies played like rookies.. They will be worse. Last year had Snacks, Vernon, Collins and still no pass rush or defense. Now bunch of rookies so they will be worse O will have to score 35/40 a game forva shot to win. Cant do that with no legit threats at WR and Barkley getting only 11 touches

All rookies played like rookies.. They featured barkley a lot in the first quarter. That stopped from the 3 and 1 until the rest of the game. Why they didn't run him there is a head scratcher, but it shouldn't be surprising why they went away from him after they got down by 2 scores. Besides, everyone complaining about Barkley getting run into the ground this year...well, that didn't happen today.

They scored 10 points.(That’s really bad) The opposition is allowed to grab, hold and hit w/o flags when they should be called...kills drives.
There was a bit of that, and football is a momentum game, but, we gotta play better.

Going away from Barkley was a problem last year too.
But I mean this team is going nowhere with this defence.

I don’t understand the surprise here. Dallas is a good team. We are not. This was pretty predictable You're not surprised by Dak going what is it? 25-30 or something? 4 TDs and 400 yards? Not even a little bit? I am surprised that our defense is really that bad. I mean, 12 yard slants are going for 50+ at times. I mean TE being wide open doesn't surprise me but you're not surprised even a little at how terrible our defense is? We have no pass rush and a very young secondary. I didn’t think it would be that bad, but knew it would be pretty bad....

A real butt fumble has to be caused by your own teammates butt. Look it up. It's in the rule book.

Dallas is legitimate team to win now and the Giants are rebuilding and it became very clear today.
Lessons learned for a young secondary, need to figure out where the pass rush will come from?
Giants may need to lean on SB more than they did today
Tate will open up some plays when he returns
Set lower expectation possibly

How people can't watch this game and see the offense is a problem as well is beyond me. Eli isn't going to get it done. These dink and dunks are so predictable and the playcalling is awful. Get Jones out there and do whatever tf can be done to improve the defense. Ballentine at CB can't be worse than Hamilton and Baker tonight. Connelly has to be better than Tae Davis. Rotate whoever the hell at edge until someone shows ANYTHING im now fully convinced the coaching staff has no idea what they are doing....no one on these boards can tell me Hamilton is better than Baker or Ballentine....like what the hell is goin on?? His failure to make the 3rd down tackle at the 6 yard line early in the game was one of the most critical boo-boos of the entire game. But everybody makes mistakes, I guess.

Lol! You’re right, it’s all the refs fault. The offense and Eli were wonderful all game. The defense, or rather their lack of doing anything...is the reason this game was lost. The offense showed some good signs, and some rust.
That said, Jones should have seen the ball in the 4th.
Complete RUBBISH!Unless 10 points on offense is entirely acceptable to you. It's NOT acceptable to me.. or most any OC in the business.
