We are just over 3 weeks away from Kickoff of our 1st Annual Giants Proboards Fantasy Football League.
I'll be posting week to week to recaps, some Team Owner information and over all news regarding the league. This year's league is standard Yahoo PPR Format, with slight changes to Interceptions and Fumbles increased from -1 to -2 points.
Let's introduce this years Team Owners:
TE88 Roosevelt Sarcasman BillyRayValentine BronxBomberBlue Pennstate1 Crushgroove TCHOF JerseyRattlers Morehead State MikeTheNYGFan TEM
Our Draft order has been set with Morehead pulling the lucky straw with the #1 Pick. BronxBomber drafting #2, TEM #3. We then get into the meat of the order with Roosevelt #4, TE88 #5, PennState1 #6, JerseyRattlers #7, TCHOF #8 and BillyRayValentine #9. At the tail end of the draft we have Crushgroove at #10, Sarcasman at #11, MikeTheNYGFan #12.

We kicked things off last night with the draft!
According to Yahoo Draft Grades/Recap, Morehead had the best draft. His top picks of David Johnson, Rob Gronkowski, and Adam Thielen give him a strong foundation and should be a tough match throughout the year. Morehad is projected to finish in first place in Giants Proboards League with a mark of 9-4 (1,870 points).
According to Yahoo Draft Grades/Recap, Crushgroove had the worst draft. The recap reads: If Crushgroove deals with pressure during the season the way they did in this draft, it's going to be a long year. Picking No. 10 overall, they were clearly unprepared. Crushgroove are predicted to finish 12th in Giants Proboards League with a record of 2-11 (1,766 points).
Other notable things from the draft, Aaron Rodgers was take by BronxBomberBlue with the 2nd pick in the third Round. Followed by TEM drafting Tom Brady with the 3rd pick.
Giants Players:
Saquon Barkley went #2 to BronxBomberBlue Evan Engram went #10 in the 4th round, and Sterling Shepard went #10 in the 6th round both to TEM. Eli Manning was drafted! He went #1 in the 14th round to MikeTheNYGFan.

Yea, its interesting how Yahoo does their grading/recaps. I can't agree with all of it, but it's interesting fodder.
We all know FF comes down to the health of players, how we manage Free Agency pickups throughout the year and roster management on gameday. I know I've been burned in the past where a player goes bonkers one week and sits on your bench...so you start them next week and drop a dud.

I had fun drafting!
I tried to resist taking Odell but I couldn’t. The best year I ever had in FF I did it with strong receivers and a lucky choice of RB later on...so hoping that works out for me again.
Looking forward to the games...

Yes I know and RB's are still important. But there are many more WR's now that are huge producers. It used to be taboo to use a WR in the flex. Now it's commonplace. Just the way the game is played anymore.
Hey...I drafted a RB #1. But he's a pass catching RB in a flex league.

I let the homer in me take over and picked Odell...although I do legitimately think he could have a huge year this season. He looks absolutely locked-in and I like shurmurs O for him....

RB's are tough because so many team split carries these days. Bad move with AB v Odell. Brown always gets a lot of catches each game. This is a PPR league. (my first ever)

I'm sure happy how things are working out with Bell. May I suggest you offer a trade with Crushgroove to get Conner for a haldcuff of Bell. Conner isn't worth that much when Bell does come back....which may be next week.

That does make sense thanks, but I think I'm okay as I have a few starting RB's on my roster. That is of course not to say I wouldn't entertain the idea if Crushgroove is interested.

I'm not interested at the moment. But you've got a solid stable of RB's. I think Blount will get a solid workload throughout the year, he was on my radar to draft. If the holdout goes on longer, maybe we can talk trade

You’ll see Wish I snagged Conner. I did that the year DeAngelo Williams filled in for Bell and had a nice few opening games.

This time around, I'm just going to post the questions once and you see their responses below:
BronxBomberBlue:
1. I was in a keeper league since 1989. It came to an end in 2012. I loved that league! FF for me personally hasn't been the same since.
2. With Michael Vick now retired, I can't think of a player who I wouldn't want to draft.
3. After the Giants, I would say the Green Bay Packers.
4. LT, Bavaro, Eli.
5. Hopefully I'll put the winnings towards NY Giants playoff tickets.
6. The Super Bowl victories were all great memories. It's hard to rank them, but SB XXV & XLII were my favorites because I didn't think they would win either one. I also went to the NFC Championship game in Green Bay on January 20, 2008. The 3rd or 4th coldest NFL game ever! Great weekend in Green Bay!!
7. Cheeseburgers
8. Curly fies
9. Water, beer, wine.... soda dead last.
10. At my age, I'll take the suite. ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- TEM: 1.No this is my 5th year
2.The Dallas Cowboys . That is self explanatory
3.LOL
4.Benny Friedman ( before our time but huge admirer of what he did for the game) Justin Tuck Harry Carson
5.Hide it from my wife
6.Playing in the Junior Pee Wee Pop Warner NJ state Championship in the old Giants stadium in 1977 . I was 11 at the time.
7.Love them both But have been on a diet. So I have not indulge all summer .
8. Not a fan of either . I like mozzarella but not fried.
9. All have their appropriate times to consume Coffee all day long.
10. I sat in Giants Stadium on Christmas Eve one year and it was snowing . I will take the suite. --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- MoreHead
1.Started playing in 2009
2. Eli
3. Browns (I'm from Cleveland)
4. Phil Simms, Brandon Jacobs, Hakeem Nicks
5. Guitars
