I think Chappy has been hitting the gym with his time off. Or they arent steroid testing... Big muscles cause you to lose arm whip. It's a fact.

Yankees' Masahiro Tanaka Returned Home to Japan Because of Coronavirus Danger New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka revealed Thursday on Twitter that he returned to his native Japan from the United States late last month amid the coronavirus pandemic. NJ.com's Brendan Kuty published a translated version of Tanaka's tweets: "By entering Japan from the United States, where the infection of the new coronavirus is expanding, even though we currently have no symptoms, would you still infect someone without knowing it? Wouldn't my family get infected? There were various thoughts. "However, after spring training was discontinued, there was a situation where I was in danger besides the coronavirus infection while staying in Florida. I have decided to return home temporarily with deep caution. bleacherreport.com/articles/2884715-yankees-masahiro-tanaka-returned-home-to-japan-because-of-coronavirus-danger

Cole making 'significant' donations to NYC relief TAMPA, Fla. -- Gerrit Cole has yet to throw his first regular-season pitch as a member of the Yankees, but as the coronavirus crisis continues in New York City, the ace right-hander is making his presence felt away from the field. Cole told the New York Post on Thursday that he and his wife, Amy, plan to make “significant” donations to Direct Relief, an organization that coordinates with public health authorities and nonprofit organizations to assist health workers responding to COVID-19. “Being within arm’s length of this, with everybody in the tri-state area so heavily affected, we wanted to jump in and help as much as we could,” Cole told the Post. “It will be rolling along in the next couple of days as far as contributing to New York. As the crisis evolves, we kind of evolve. I trust the people who are in charge of these foundations to get what we are giving them exactly where it is needed the most.” www.mlb.com/news/gerrit-cole-donations-coronavirus-relief

could you imagine playing baseball here? Wow what a view. I always wondered what Yankee Stadium would feel like with the city in the immediate backdrop. Like, downtown Manhattan. This mountain view is pretty spectacular though.

MLB discussing coronavirus plan for all teams to play in Arizona Putting all 30 teams in the Phoenix area and playing in empty ballparks was among the ideas discussed Monday by Major League Baseball and the players’ association. The sides held a telephone call to talk about paths forward for a season delayed by the new coronavirus pandemic, people familiar with the discussion told The Associated Press. They spoke on condition of anonymity because no details were announced. Ideas are still in the early stage, and the Arizona option would have many obstacles to overcome, the people said. Half of the MLB clubs hold spring training in Arizona, the other half in Florida. nypost.com/2020/04/06/mlb-discussing-coronavirus-plan-for-all-teams-to-play-in-arizona/

Twenty-four years ago he was 12-year old Jeffrey Maier, the kid who reached over the fence and turned Derek Jeter's fly ball into a home run that changed a playoff game and maybe the course of the 1996 Yankees. On the latest "30 With Murti" podcast, Sweeny chats with 36-year old Jeff Maier, a married father of three, who recounts his brush with fame and what's happened to him in the year since. Maier takes us through the moment and the amazing aftermath. He also shares where the baseball journey has taken him and how people react to him in New York and Baltimore all these years later. wfan.radio.com/articles/news/30-with-murti-an-interview-with-jeff-maier?fbclid=IwAR2eG61tcj9o2Ma2ZeChRJHOj0Y1WZFD_imvXli_D2GMe0n_A1GFPVdrFKY

Hard to believe we would be 3 weeks into the season already. Garrett Cole would be 5-0 with a 1.89 ERA. Miguel Andujar would already be bidding for a Comeback Player of the Year leading the league in HRs. Aroldis Chapman would be hitting 105 on the radar gun. And Judge and Stanton would be probable to return to swinging a baseball bat in the next few months or so.
