Hard to believe we would be 3 weeks into the season already. Garrett Cole would be 5-0 with a 1.89 ERA. Miguel Andujar would already be bidding for a Comeback Player of the Year leading the league in HRs. Aroldis Chapman would be hitting 105 on the radar gun. And Judge and Stanton would be probable to return to swinging a baseball bat in the next few months or so. The Sox are undefeated. I'm wondering when they get that punishment handed to them for cheating in 2018.

I'm wondering when they get that punishment handed to them for cheating in 2018. I will come out right now and say it....The Sox did nothing wrong. The league is under pressure but it is all BS.
Players have come out left and right saying it's all a load of crap. You will of course believe what is consistent with your agenda...that being hating the Sox, but it's still BS.

Another Yankee fan who has extreme bias against God's team. Yes, the world is out to get the Red Sox once they get penalized for cheating. You truly are a Patriots fan in Giants clothing.

I'm not sure that he has a family, but that would be a very easy thing for a single person to do. My thinking is more in line with Kershaw's. Social distancing is one thing. Social distancing AWAY from your immediate family is another.

MLB could start 2020 season with Opening Day by Fourth of July, report says It's looking more and more like we'll have a 2020 baseball season after all ""The most realistic time range for Opening Day — somewhere between mid-June and July 4, in the view of most officials — would allow for an 80- to 100-game regular season, with the schedule running through October. An expanded postseason at neutral sites might follow, with the World Series ending in late November or early December."" www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-could-start-2020-season-with-opening-day-by-fourth-of-july-report-says/

Anthony Fauci: Sports might not happen this year Major League Baseball may be plotting a return, but Dr. Anthony Fauci has some bad news for everyone hoping for team sports to return. Fauci, the infectious disease expert who’s a part of the White House’s coronavirus task force, says that without widespread testing and quick results, sports may be sidelined for the duration of 2020. "Safety, for the players and for the fans, trumps everything,” Fauci told the New York Times. “If you can’t guarantee safety, then unfortunately you’re going to have to bite the bullet and say, ‘We may have to go without this sport for this season.’” nypost.com/2020/04/29/anthony-fauci-sports-might-not-happen-this-year/

Yankees' Aaron Judge Seeing 'Encouraging' Signs in Rib Injury Rehab, Says Boone The MLB season has been on hiatus due to the coronavirus, but outfielder Aaron Judge has used the opportunity to heal his rib injury. Manager Aaron Boone updated the player's status Tuesday on MLB Network Radio: "He's due for another CT scan I believe in a couple more weeks," Boone said (h/t Scott Thompson of SNY). "So this time down has allowed that rib, that bone to continue to heal and all signs are encouraging there." bleacherreport.com/articles/2890236-yankees-aaron-judge-seeing-encouraging-signs-in-rib-injury-rehab-says-boone

DJ LeMahieu’s free agency should be a major priority for Yankees TAMPA — Hours before the 2020 baseball season came to a screeching halt, DJ LeMahieu sat in an almost-empty dugout at George M. Steinbrenner Field and wondered about the future. That morning, the quiet but intense Yankees infielder was worried after seeing the NBA shut down suddenly the night before because of the growing concern for the global coronavirus pandemic. Now, nearly eight weeks later and with baseball having missed over a month of games, Yankees fans that have to worry about the future of LeMahieu. Hands down the Yankees’ Most Valuable Player in 2019 — one of two regular starters who did not go on the injured list last season — LeMahieu is entering his final year of a two-year, $24 million contract. As of early March, LeMahieu said “nothing serious” had been talked about between the Yankees and his agent about a possible extension. When the season eventually gets going, LeMahieu’s future — immediate future at least — is something the Yankees should get serious about. The 31-year old was an All-Star for the third time in his nine-year career, hitting .327/.375/.518 with a career-high 26 homers and 102 RBIs. And that does not really paint the picture of what LeMahieu meant to the Yankees in 2019. www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-dj-lemahieu-free-agency-extension-20200505-ulztu5z4qff4tau452ofuabtb4-story.html

Report: MLB won't shut down if a player tests positive for coronavirus Ahead of Saturday's UFC 249 show, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and two of his cornermen tested positive for coronavirus. While Souza was pulled from the card and the three men were told to self-isolate away from non-infected individuals, the mixed martial arts event went on as planned. It appears Major League Baseball may implement similar protocol if the season begins in the summer. As SNY's Danny Abriano wrote, one MLB executive told SNY reporter Andy Martino that the league won't immediately shut down if a player tests positive for the virus during the campaign. Rather, he and anybody else on his team who tests positive would be required to isolate for a period of time. Such players would be replaced by members of a team's "taxi squad." www.yardbarker.com/mlb/articles/report_mlb_wont_shut_down_if_a_player_tests_positive_for_coronavirus/s1_13132_31967462

I wonder if they will be forced to wear masks in BP and practice. Gloves all the time. And maybe during games too. I think they could without any distractions. Maybe the pitcher would be distracted throwing with it on though.

Can you imagine that in baseball?
