Guys who've been able to watch the last 2 games. Who is jumping out to you that the writers might be not covering as much?

Kyle Lauletta has been fun to watch thus far. He's very cool and calm in the pocket. Rob Martin has been a pleasant surprise at running back. Jonathan Stewart has been terrible up to this point. Specially for the money he's getting paid. Wynn also is having another great preseason so far. He always seems to be around the ball....

The two young RBs Martin & Simmons gave been very impressive. I think they both have a shot at sticking on the roster. That means expensive FA Stewart which has looked lost could be cut.
Will have to see if Gettleman is loyal because of his past ties to him or if he is really out to build this team with the best 53
Simmons suffered a concussion so that could be DGs excuse to try and stash him on the PS later in pre season

Others are draft picks BJ Hill & Lorenzo Carter. Both look good

I guess you hit "Create Post" just before I did lol.. both mentioned Martin doing well and the underwhelming Stewart Yes!! Lauletta looked good. In fact all three QBs fit throws into tight windows on pretty long throws. To bad Tanney has no chance to make the team with Webb & Lauletta both looking great. That TD run by Lauletta was something. Cutting back and totally stopping two lions in their tracks he faked them out so bad. Sadly one of them tore his ACL on the play

Don't know. TWO PRE SEASON GAMES are not ENOUGH TIME TO EVALUATE ANYONE. I am please d over all with what I have seen so far . I like our picks so far and I like our coach's so far and I like what the GM has done,................so far. Yeah, that Stewart signing was brilliant

The first name that comes to mind is #72 Kerry Wynn, he has been all over the field, looks like a tremendous jump up from last year. Hopefully ala Collins, (ok take it easy Rich). Thought Moss and Francis have played well on the D line. Ray Ray Armstrong (LB) is another one who seems to have a nose for the football. LBer rookie Carter seemed much more comfortable in game #2 to me and had a sack or was in on it. And our old friend Herzleck (sorry about spelling) played very well vs the Lions.
On offense I thought our run game has looked great all 3 units. I know there has been a lot of criticism of Stewart but he hasn't looked that awful to me. Every other RB has looked great I thought and all these different units on the OL has looked real good vs the run. Ah the pass protection, needs work no doubt. This week vs Jets in game #3 is the one to watch. Engram looks ready to go to me. Shep also and was pleasantly surprised with young receivers.
Eli should play 1st half and then that's it for pre season. Have changed my mind Barkley and Beckham should sit till opening day vs Jags.
That's my 2 cents

I have not seen BJ Hill take any snaps....I re-watched the last game an he seems to get lost. I need to see a bit more from him as I expected to see him rotate in for Snacks with the first team..
I like the two backup RB's Simmons and Martin...
Johnathan Stewart sucks

I was impressed with how well Webb Slinger responded to a poor outing in week one, with a far superior performance last week. He showed a lot of meddle.

I was hard on lattimer in the off season . He looks to be a good pick up and so far a reliable target. . I am really impressed with Andrew Adams, Mark Herzlich , Ray Ray, Robert Thomas and Lorenzo Carter. I am disappointed with Patrick Omameh

Too much criticism for week one and too much credit for week 2 imo. We all (me included) hang way too much on week to week performance......ESPECIALLY in pre-season with young players. The kid made some nice throws last week, showed the strong arm and looked like he could be our next guy up......at last. Nassib never looked that way. He did have nice biceps though.

If he plays well against the Jets on Friday, it will start to become a welcome trend.

Yeah, that Stewart signing was brilliant I like it if it helps Barkley and I think that was the point of it. Not sure how a running back who rushes four times for negative-1 yards is going to help Barkley....unless it’s to make him feel better about himself.

Since when has it became a standard to judge RBs on handful of carries . Last week it was Barkley's 5 carries. This week it is Stewarts 4 carries . Stewart has had a total of 7 carries. and Barkley has 5 this season I don't get the point of what you are saying. Most analysts use 100 carries as a benchmark . I am just carious why do you think under 10 is a solid data point to draw a conclusion? I apologizes for singling you out. You are not the only one who is doing this exact thing. There is an entire thread on Stewart and how bad he sucks after 7 carries.

But he's not off to a good start.

All the rookies have exceeded. Except Barkley, he is pretty much as advertised.
Stewart is meh. Mostly because the other RBs have all looked better. It’s just hard to see how he fits.
The RB position is changing ... as a way to increase value and survive in the league these guys are catching more passes and moving around the O.
Stewart is a one dimensional 240 pounder. He looks like a dinosaur to me

When the season starts, then we will know who can play. Right now, unlike a Cruz, there are no real standouts! 2hebpqr

I was just trying to show you stats for Stewart for a whole season since you were dismissing this years preseason for Stewart because he didn't have enough stats to warrant people not liking the pick up.. It's becoming very obvious that you aren't really interested in other peoples opinion that don't line up with yours.. All the best to you..

It's becoming very obvious that you aren't really interested in other peoples opinion that don't line up with yours.. All the best to you.. I am very interested in other people's opinions. I do not have to agree with them. When a Player is put on the team . This fan is willing to give that player the benefit of the doubt. Until proven otherwise. If you feel that is unacceptable behavior . Ok I am cool with that. But your assertion that I should go along with the perceived statuesque. That is in not in anyway going to change the way I choose to perceive the player or team or Gm or coach. I do understand not every player is going to be a top NFL player. I also understand there are players that are on the team for specific reasons. Those reasons may not fall in line what some believe that role should be . For me to be critical of a player in the preseason without fulling understanding what that players role will be. That is not what I chose to do.. I prefer not to take the negative assumptive position.

He is a seasoned vet and is not pushing in preseason. No way No how. He will contribute well this season. I think he got too much money but I dont doubt his ability, his leadership, and his presence for the young RB group

Guys who've been able to watch the last 2 games. Who is jumping out to you that the writers might be not covering as much? OUR DL looks special. Landon Collins looks great when he's not taking bad angles in pursuit. Shurmur has exceeded my expectations except for the lack of adjustment to the right side of the OL.....What the heck is Rhett Ellison here for again?
