If we fire Shurmur after this year my guess is we try to hire a coach with HC experience that has had success to Make sure we do not miss again.
Mccarthy skipped this season but wants to coach next year. He had Favre and Rogers in GB which helps but has a good record as HC:
Head coaching record Regular season: 125–77–2 (.618) Postseason: 10–8 (.556) Career: 135–85–2 (.613)
What do you think could he be our guy? His last season was not good but same thing with Andy Reid and he has new life in Kansas.

You might want to check out other threads first .................................................. I did and se have Shurmur vs ben. We also have Bellichik, schwartz and Harbaugh seperately. College coaches mentioned in those but not much about Mccarthy or I just missed it.

I wouldn't be against hiring McCarthy, always seemed like a solid professional coach with a decent track record. What I don't want is any more coaches with no head coaching experience...

Sounds good and he's still pretty young.
Is he good with young QBs? Other than him being the former coach of the Pack I dont know much about him

I would prefer Harbaugh but I would not hate that hire I think Harbaugh is an actually nut job. I mean like clinically.... Not a coach I would want at all. Didnt he bail on his NFL team? Or was he let go?

Jim’s worst season would be Shurmurs pinnacle of his career

So far the "pinnacle" of Pat Shurmur's career is 5-11.

yeah...I didnt take the time to check all this out.....which I obviously forgot Still dont like him. I think he's legit nuts But can he coach ..... Hell of a coach. Just look at the history of the NFL. The best coaches are jerks, ego maniacs, tyrants, border line insane individuals. But at the end of the day they get there team ready to play and they win more than they lose. Our head coach is an extremely nice guy. Terrible coach, but a guy I would trust to watch my dog when I’m away.

So some interest but less than for Harbaugh. Agree that Harbaugh seems like a great coach for a few seasons but could be gone because of personal problems with team or GM or owners.
Mccarthy is offensive minded with a good track record. He could be good for Daniel Jones but requires a good DC. He seems like a guy our owners could actually hire.

Problem is that his version of the WCO is a very rigid stale outdated version, also runs it exclusively out of the 11. Now staying exclusively in the 11 you can be run heavy, the Rams are an exclusive 11 formation team and blasted the Cowboys to oblivion in that set in the playoff game .

McCarthy games as HC: 222. McAdoo games as HC (prior to hire): 0. Not quite the same.

So do we create a new thread for every HC we desire? Or just randomly post it in some random thread?
Because I’d like to submit Robert Saleh.

[b Exactly, McAdoo ran the 11 like 90 percent of the time, does everyone forget how predictable his offense was?

Pleas no more WCO. I'm sick of it. Give us something modern that is being used by the top teams.
