Not singling you out by any stretch but it seems to me many people didn't pay attention to Eli's game last week.
He never looked better IMO. He seemed totally focused.
Who is this sarcasm directed at? I mean, unless you're trying to call me stupid on the sneak, since Eli didn't play last week. Did you reply to the wrong post?
lol. Wrong Eli.

Oh, that Eli. Well, he did have a quite game, which is usually a good thing. I hope the young man can become a solid corner for the Giants, because they need it. I want him to succeed.

Well at least we can stop the "re-sign DRC" stuff. im not sure how Gettlemen thought it was a good idea to cut DRC sign/trade for Ogletree and Stewart who have both largely been useless. If Jenkins gets hurt we may as well mail the season in. We have 1 starting caliber CB in a league where you need 3. At least JR understood that much.

But he also wasn’t a good CB. Hopefully the Giants will find ways to play to Ogletree and Stewart’s strengths as they used to with DRC, despite his deficiencies.

Big part of why our secondary has been good and we had him on a cheap contract for a starting CB. Ogletree is getting paid like a top 3 MLB and Stewart is somehow getting paid when in reality, hes probably the third, maybe fourth best RB on this roster. He played inside, and outside, and played the positions well. Very rarely did he allow catches into his coverage, he also played the run well. Not sure what more you could want. Lets see how this goes

Lets see how this goes I think he was good too. He just wasn’t a very good cover corner but he added great depth and value to the secondary as the GB game revealed. There’s a place for a guy like DRC in defensive backfields but if he’s your stating CB and is expected to cover a top WR, you have a problem, imo. I’m not defending the Stewart signing, I hated it but it is what it is. I agree we’re only in this car for the ride, we don’t get to drive.

Physically/Technically DRC is still a great player and he plays great in man-to-man coverage, which is primarily what the Giants run... He is a lot better than Eli Apple or any other CB we have at the moment (not named Jenkins). Im just not sure what our plan was with CB depth, its such an important position and we're been strong here for years. You cant win in this league without them

I like the guy and wish he’d have signed with the Giants but I wouldn’t sign him as a starting CB to play against an opponents top 1 or 2. He can’t cover that level of player any longer imo.

I liked DRC too but maybe his insubordinate episode last season did him in with the Giants organization? Jenkins and Apple did the same thing, but were given another chance. True but maybe the front office thinks it's worth it to give them a second chance but don't feel the same way about DRC...of course this is all speculation
