The more I am reading about this mountain of a man the more I am liking him. He literally throws around 260 pound linebackers like a rag doll. We can easily trade back a few spots and get him too. I have never watched a Louisville game so tell me if I am wrong. I watched some highlights of him and he looks a little raw technically but imagine if he is this good now and can be coached up? What do you guys think about him be selected at 4 or a little further back

I think there’s health and longevity concerns just based on his shear size. I’m guessing that would make him a riskier pick then some of the other top rated Tackles. Hope the Giants do their homework on this guy though because he sounds like a man-beast.

I tend to want to stay away from players that big. Yeah, it sounds enticing to have a player that has his own zip code. But I would be concerned with back and knee issues. Being that massive takes a toll on your joints.
Imagine what this guy can eat? He probably goes to a restaurant and orders the usual. Everything..

Actually, that is the one knock...but credit to him, he lost weight as the coaches asked and now is a 1st round prospect ...he also played more of a three point stance this year, and that created the leverage...this game shows all you need to know. Cards with over 600 yards offense...if you have time, #73...the large guy on the left side throwing his weight around

Depending on which mock you look at different OT's are ranked 1st thru 4th. But you probably could still get one of them as far back #11 the Jets. And the mocks have them taking the last of the 4 OT's. Some of the mocks have us taking Becton at #4 but nobody knows which of these OT's are going first thru 4th. But they should all go in the first 11 picks.

I'm a big fan after starting to watch his tape. I'll be watching his movement drills at the combine. At the very least, he could be a great guard. He plays mean

I really like Becton. Dude is a stud. There is never anything easy about trading down though.

Beckon, NFL comparison that I have seen seen is Lomas Brown. A third round pick. At No. 4 Giants can not gamble ,on a player. You think Becton would have trimmed down ( during the past season ) knowing he was entering the draft He will not be playing against college kids.

If course he knows the Giants need o line and is campaigning to be the first lineman off the board..

What do you guys think about him be selected at 4 or a little further back Started a bit of film on some of these guys last night, and watched a clip of Becton and WIlls. Here's what I saw.... Becton is an absolute monster. As many experts have said, for a man of his size his feet are amazingly quick. He mauls people in the run game......and he makes it look amazingly easy. His pass protection looks surprisingly smooth. I'm no OL expert by any means, but even I was able to see he has some technical flaws. Mainly around leverage where he stands up tall and lacks knee bend, but he seems to make up for these issues with his sheer size and strength. The tools he has now, though raw, look to be good enough, and he should only improve with NFL coaching. The obvious comp most fans will try to make will be Flowers, but I don't think Flowers could move the way Becton does. The guy is powerfully smooth. Wills was completely impressive. Again, I don't watch a ton of OL film, but the way this guy moves his feet was amazing. He looked like a Point Guard defending full court. When beat, he's able to recover.....fantastic change of direction. His technique looks flawless....no reaching, very patient, handles speed/power, etc. He might not rag doll players with sheer size and strength like Becton, but he looks to have plenty of power. Handled top level competition with relative ease. I'd be happy with either. Wills looked to be the more well-rounded, technically sound player, so I'd probably lean his way. His feet and change of direction really do look amazing, and knowing Becton won't be able to simply bully everyone in the NFL, I think he may be the safer pick if we go OT at #4

While I prefer Thomas, any of the fab 4 will work for me

From what I've watched, I'll be fine with either Becton or Wills. Knowing this, unless we're completely head over heels with a prospect, I don't see how we stay put at #4. I think we trade back.

Trading back a few sports and getting one of these 4 is an absolute no brainer. It’s a position of need that intersects with a BPA. Once we fix this line Barkley and Jones will really shine. If I was Judge I would lean heavily on Marc Colombo‘s opinion. That guy knows what’s needed for a top O-Line

I’ll have a laugh at my own expense (although I still think he could be decent, but I won’t shy away from the fact I didn’t like the Jones pick at the time for where he was picked and honestly liked Haskins more) but with that being said, Becton basically just ran the same 40 time as Dwayne Haskins and he’s 360 lbs.
I could see Gettleman falling for the King of the Hog Mollies. I just hope the new staff will be able to develop OL properly... can’t get much worse lol

He tweaked his hammy, and will be sitting out the late drills. That 40 was very impressive for a man his size.

The 40 is exactly 1 / 44th of a mile
44 * 5.11 = 224.84 or 3.75 minuets per mile . Not saying he can keep up that pace. 16 miles per hour for a 350 lb+ man is impressive

A man of his size and ability to move reduces the risk that he wont be able to perform in the nfl since it takes an extra half second just to get around him. But it does increase the risk of an injury. I would take a chance on him at 4 because the upside is dominance on the left side, allowing an average rt get a bit of help to make the ol not a problem. Worth a 4th over all
