This kid could be the ticket to us trading back. I've been saying for the last couple of weeks I feel like he is the riser in this draft much like Daniel Jones last year.
He has the size and the arm. He has all the great measurables at the combine. 4.74 40 time, 10.5 inch hands, 6'4" 225lbs.
One of his "pros" is tight spiral balls from all arm angles. Another is ability to stand tall in pocket first and scramble when OL breaks down.
Sounds like Mahomes?
I think there is a real chance this kid could go top 6. Burrow and Tua will most likely go before, but Love could leap frog Herbert for the 3rd QB taken and that could be in the 4 spot if Tua goes 2 or 3.
Dolphins, Chargers, Raiders, all could be stalking.
Lots of talk of his name in the GM circles apparently.

Excellent points I agree all around.
Miami and Chargers #5 and #6, Raiders #12. Would love to go 5 or 6 and pick up an extra couple 2nd rd picks. Possibly their 3rd rd also. Especially in this draft.
Remember the Jets gave Indy three 2nd rd picks to move from the 6th pick the to 3rd to get Darnell. Indy got Nelson.

I've been speculating Love could be this year's riser.. I also think Herbert has done enough to be a top 10 pick as well

I smile every time I hear the Mahomes comparisons. Hopefully some teams panic to our benefit.

Miami, Chargers and Raiders, should all be going QB. This assuming Brady stays in N.E. Miami and Judge have Patriots tides , so that’s a possible trade. Raiders, even if Carr is there opening day QB. Gruden , would want a QB in training ( Love ) is a real possiblility. What , I prefer is a Charger or Miami trade. Giants should be able to get the same player, if they would stay at the four pick.

I think the raiders are the ideal trade partner. We may be able to get 12 & 19 from them, which favors us, draft points wise. They are the back of the line of QB needy teams, so they need the most ammo to move up. And if you add in Detroit to QB needy teams, Oakland is #4 in pecking order, and I doubt they want to settle on another Derek Carr. Standing pat at 12 means the best they can hope for is probably Love. I think theres a VERY good chance two of Wills, Wirfs, Becton, are there at 12, my guess is Becton/Wills

If those 2 are gone, I start looking at guys like Jeudy of still there.

Here are some evaluations on him:
"Jordan Love isn’t without his warts but he possesses a high-level physical skill set and peaks on tape that reveal the ceiling of a potential dynamic NFL starting quarterback. His arm talent and mobility is perfect for the trends of today’s NFL and there is no limitations to what he can do on the field. The full playbook is open for Love and then some. With that said, he does need to make notable strides in several key areas including decision-making, timing and accuracy to achieve his ceiling. An early investment in Love is a bet on yourself to be able to develop his overall game but his upside is worth the calculated risk."
"Player Summary - Jordan Love has franchise quarterback qualities and should be regarded as a prospect with a Pro Bowl ceiling. Love's statistical regression in 2019 isn't indicative of a regression in skills or decision making — was a victim of poor supporting cast in many instances. Love will need patience and must go to a team with coaching staff able to nurture, develop and cater passing schemes to where he thrives. He isn't plug and play but he's a potential game changing QB. "
"Projection: Opinions about Love will remain mixed, but there’s no doubting his arm talent and other traits that are already present. Of any prospect in this draft, no career none other than Love’s will be more dependent on their landing spot. His production fell off of a cliff following the 2018 season, but there will be some teams that feel as if that was his true form and that they could eventually help him return to it.
Firmly believing that Love will eventually become a top-15 selection, he will need at least a year to sit behind a well-established veteran before he’s ready to take on a role as a full-time starter. His decision making and footwork need refinement and that time as an understudy will help him. If shown the right amounts of patience also while nurturing him along the way, a team could turn him into a high-end starting QB that turns into a face of the franchise type of player."

Thanks A...yeah, this is great news for the Giants and all we need are two teams in love with love sitting at 4. Believe the two talking draft heads at ESPN have a bet on who is taken first, Love or Herbert. The knock on Love being the, well...film. But the super scouts have spoken...looking good for pick 4 and a trade back...these type of QB's are the new NFL...we have to take advantage of the cap space and low Jones salary in free agency, and look OT early in this draft. Trading back...if there ever was a time for Gettleman to accumulate early picks, this is the year.
