I have felt from the start of this that he would go for a change of scenery. Both BB and Brady are obviously challenge oriented and for me, it comes down to Brady wanting to show something elsewhere and BB wanting to show that he's more than Brady's coach. Mix in some personal rifts and this is where they are at. Paying him for past success is a John Mara thing, and as so many have said, one of the Pats/BB biggest strengths is knowing when to say when.

Guy is 43 years old....not entirely sure why anybody wants a 43 year old QB...nature is cruel to everybody and he's ready to fall down that cliff
Belichick wins this one....Dalton is my guess

Split the 2 and see who was the real deal. Now everyone will just say Brady is old is he struggles. I cant wait to see what Belichick does next at the QB position. He already proved he could win with Cassel, Garapollo and Brissett. How about Nick Foles? 3 years left on his deal. $22m per isnt crazy. IF its not Stidham, go Fromm in 2020 and ride Foles for a year or 2.

I have to say I am a bit surprised at this. It's understandable the Pats not wanting to pay Brady huge money to stay. Brady can still perform at a high level though. However, when players ask for huge contracts (and get them) they often cut their own throats.
Belichick has had success because he is not sentimental about players. Kraft must not be either.
It seems a shame that Brady doesn't finish out with the Pats after having such a great career there. Who knows? Brady may win another SB somewhere else. That would be cool.
Even though I never liked Brady as an opponent I'd hate to see him like Joe Namath when he left the Jets. It's sad to see great players lose their skills.

He could still be really good in a ball control/air raid hybrid offense because his brain and processing abilities are still top notch.. The Arians offense would be a disaster for him as he runs the Gilbride hybrid of the Erheardt/Perkins system...

At 43 it was time to move on .Brady is gonna have to hope where he ends up they block he can't move he makes Eli look like Mike Vick. and he needs to learn a new system hasn't done that ever.
